I've had their savoury pies (cheese, zaatar and meat) on several occasions but only recently went to the store to check them out. The place sits in the same Tim Horton's plaza.
Iraqi family run business. Met the father and his family on two occasions. Sweet people. Also, quite hospitable. Saw the father prepare a meal for an obvious scammer who acted like he couldn't afford to pay despite being decked out in high end runners. In spite of this, the owner didn't question his legitimacy and fed the guy with no questions asked. I thought that was a class act.
Ordered take out twice. Both times, went with a zaatar and cheese manousheh. Zaatar to cheese ratio was perfect. The first time was excellent. I had a small sized manousheh. The second time, I ordered a large and was disappointed to find hair in my food. I hate hair and thus could not continue eating.
Was really excited when I learned about this place and was hoping to try their shawarma at one point but can't bring myself to return. Makes me sad. I know it's a one off but still.
