But then out of nowhere the person texted me that they're sorry and their massage is the best in Detroit and #1 on Yelp. After that the person told me through the text that she/he was not the one searching for me but I was searching for them and I will only get a massage from her/him if I'm lucky :))) what a great conversation and amazing service (again, through text messages). I found this clinic online and decided to give it a try since I know that therapists in Canada receive great training, and it was only about 45 minutes from me. When I arrived, there were three people at the desk. They looked at me but kept talking to each other for a couple of minutes and then asked when my appointment was. Not super friendly like I'm used to. Filled out the paperwork and met my therapist (also not very warm). I tried to be very clear with my therapist about the areas that I wanted her to focus on, and I told her that I like really strong pressure. Unfortunately, the pressure wasn't deep. I asked for firmer pressure during the massage, but overall it was too gentle. Also didn't focus enough on problem areas as I had requested. No follow up as far as what to do after the massage (drink water, take it easy, stretches for problem areas, etc.) Just not very involved. In summation, it wasn't bang for my buck. Didn't hate it but left disappointed. Made me miss my therapist in SC. I'm not picky...I don't need frills...but a little more friendliness and warmth and a good listening ear might bring me back. Maybe someone else had a great experience, and I just got in there on a bad day. Meh.

He is very willing to share his knowledge and explain what his plan is to make corrections. He is very professional and I highly recommend his services. Recently we also had massage from Emily and she was very good. We did have a problem with billing. Initially, it was not handled well by front desk staff, and ended up causing extra work and headache for me. But after I contacted the office through email they helped me resolve the issue in a reasonable manner. They were able to explain exactly what the issue was, and give me steps to take towards a solution. They were very professional and kind in their communication.

About the massage therapist: 1) her hands were cold 2) she did not use enough pressure, even though I kept asking her to push harder 3) the music was very bad and distracting 4) I asked for whole body but she did not massage my arms and hands 5) she forgot to put out the arm rests for quite a while. Overall it was a pretty bad experience and I do feel like I wasted my time. Lesson learned to never cheat on my current massage therapist again.
