The staff was so nice and comforting and heard my entire side of the story before evaluating the dog. When they evaluated our dog they did so with care, compassion, and were very professional. Even gave him a shot with no reaction after the other clinic wanted to sedate him to give him an injection. My experience here was very good and we will be back.

This is a No Kill Shelter, so I will always try to support them when I can. I recently lost my dog,…read moreand had lots of beds, food, diabetic supplies, etc. I found this shelter and drove from another parish to go donate to here. The staff was very nice and very appreciative. The animals I saw were healthy, friendly, some even walking around the office as happy as could be. I appreciate the work they do and felt this was was a very nice facility. It is a bit strange to get into. The only small issue is that once you get to the compound, you have to guide yourself into the correct building. But once you get to it, it's very noticeable and very modern. I didn't go out back to see all of the animals, afraid I'd want to take them all home, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. I'm not familiar with the rest of the facility or how it looks, etc. But as a no kill shelter, I really do applaud their work.

Petco contacted…read moreDr. Boston's office and they would NOT confirm my dogs prescription BUT hand wrote a prescription for me which I drove over to their office and picked up. Well - Petco will only accept a faxed prescription directly from the Vet. I would bet money that Dr. Boston & his office knew this but since they sell Heartguard themselves - they don't like their patients shopping elsewhere even though with promotion the Heartgard was $35 compared to Dr. Boston's price of $55 and went out of their way to inconvenience me. Any vet worth their weight would be glad that a pet owner was buying what is necessary to protect their pet from heartworm. How horrible that I was trying to save a little money. I will be taking my veterinarian business elsewhere.
