I was in town for two meetings in the Dublin area and I selected the TownePlace Suites as the hotel opened in 2021. They accommodated me for an early check-in, but I didn't feel like my Bonvoy status was recognized. No upgraded room was offered. This hotel has an awesome workout room, plus an indoor pool and laundry. Not sure why a room with two Queen beds is priced less than a single King, but that's what I selected. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. I just wished the pillows were firmer. My room had a glass shower, but I don't understand why the glass covers only half the shower. Inevitably you're spraying water out onto the floor. I was also surprised how noisy the room can be when someone is walking on the floor above your room. Like the Residence Inn, they had a complete breakfast buffet and the personal pancake maker. The Dublin property was a great stay.

We returned to our room Monday July 14th at approximately 9:30 pm. Like the day prior it appeared no one cleaned the room. I went into the restroom to prepare for bed and noticed an item on the bathroom sink. The item was a used BLOODY TAMPON stuck inside the wrapper of the new tampon. I'm assuming it was left there by the cleaning staff that entered my room but didn't clean it. The hotel front desk was notified and I requested he come to the room. He did so and we went to the front desk to resolve the issue. Not once did he offer a new room and when we asked who was going to clean / sanitize the bathroom, the attendant stated it was NOT HIS JOB!!! He also said, the cleaning staff would not be in until the following morning. I requested he give me the GM's number so I could call him. The attendant refused to provide the number so I requested he call the GM to resolve the issue in which he promptly refused. My son got justifiably upset and the attendant threatened to CALL THE POLICE and THROW US OUT of the hotel. I called Marriott and filed a complaint. Marriott asked for the attendant's name which he failed to provide and was not wearing a name tag. Finally, I demanded a new room which they provided but at the expense of a good night's sleep. Tuesday morning, Paul the GM said, he would contact me by Wednesday evening, this would give them time to investigate the incident and stated we'll make it right. It's been a week and I have not been contacted by Paul or Marriott. Paul appears to have been trained by Salma the former GM. Read the other reviews (Francis B. Mar 2, 2022) that talk about cleanliness and how they were treated by hotel staff, they push back. Nothing has changed at this property. To add insult to injury they comped a friend staying there that I called to witness the item in my room and the behavior of the front desk attendant. I would have rated the hotel even lower if it was an option. Extremely disappointed in Marriott.

I get that and honestly after seeing what some guests put in those coffee makers I am fine with it. Plus they have 24 hr coffee available in the lobby. The room was clean, clean sheets, smelled like bleach in the shower and bathroom looked clean- didn't notice any random hairs lol. The air conditioning works very well and the rest of the room has normal amenities. A safe, a mini fridge, a desk, tv, ironing board and iron. So far so good!

Attached to the hotel is a large conference center, which is frequently used by corporate and other entities for major meetings. These facilities are well appointed, fully staffed, and impressive. Of course there is world class shopping nearby, and retailers who are able to address the wants and needs of customers in a wide, wide variety of price points.

Long time Fairfield inn and Suites customer and this is the first time we have had to cancel a room and this is how we get treated. Individual at the front desk was hanging up the phone on customers, ignoring phone calls, took the phone off the hook, and was yelling at people on the phone. We booked through Hotels.com and even Hotels.com reached out to the hotel for a refund and this establishment declined to provide a refund.

The hotel was centrally located, fairly new, and had good reviews--so we thought we were in good hands. Check-in went smoothly, but things went downhill fast. While in the bathroom, I noticed a couple of ants and initially didn't think much of it. Then my best friend noticed ants on her bed--and not just one or two, they were swarming. We reported it to the front desk and asked to speak with management. Unfortunately, we weren't offered any real solutions. Housekeeping was unavailable, the hotel was supposedly sold out, and they told us if we wanted to switch hotels, we'd have to pay for it ourselves. We were offered some loyalty points and a one-night refund--but we were five hours from home and it was too late to hit the road again. Maintenance came and said they found the issue and treated it. They also claimed the sheets would be changed. We left for dinner hopeful--but came back to even more ants. At that point, we had no choice but to sleep in the one bed that was ant-free and leave at the crack of dawn. As we checked out, we spoke to the manager again, who basically told us they can't control ants and acted as if she had done all she could. She even bragged about how she had "upgraded" our room--as if that made the ant infestation okay. Extremely disappointed, irritated, and still waiting to hear from ownership--who never reached out despite our attempts. A complete letdown from what should have been a relaxing weekend. Avoid if you care about cleanliness, accountability, or real customer service.
