They also had a food area. The service here was pretty good. All of the employees were very nice. The only down side to this place was it was very dirty. Especially the bathroom. You see, I stopped here to get some gas and a drink before continuing on my journey home to Florida. Somehow during my stop, I got confused or something, and set my wallet down and never put it back in my pocket. Cue three hours later, when I have just gotten through Jackson, Mississippi (actually I was in Richland), and I pull over to look for a place to sleep for the night, when I discovered my wallet was missing... 150 miles away. Now, I was on a motorcycle, so in my head at the time I was imagining my wallet scattered all over the highway somewhere between those two points. And it was 5pm and getting dark. No chance of going back along my route in a futile hope to find my wallet somewhere on the side of the road. Much tribulations later, I managed to secure a hotel room and with the money that a very kind stranger had handed me, I had enough cash to get home again... just. However, sitting there in the hotel room thinking about the many things I was going to have to do in order to recover things like various ID's, credit cards, etc. I received a phone call from Rick's Express. They found my wallet, and were holding it for me! The next morning, checked out of the hotel, hopped on the bike, and rode back 150 miles and collected my wallet, with great thanks to the crew at Rick's Express who really saved my bacon!

My brother and I always joked that they had chicken wings at a gas station. "How good could they be?" We'd always laugh. But then one time we were down south with husband and he commented on the fact that they sell fried chicken wings at a gas station. After passing it up several times driving back and forth between Leland and Greenville, my husband decided we had to stop and try it. Good thing we did! Best darned spicy fried chicken wings I've had, anywhere! Crispy, flavorful and spicy! Delicious combo! Too bad they don't have these out in California!

The good thing about this little convenience store, it was well stocked & had a place where you could use the vacuum.
