Have stopped in here to look around a lot as a local whos gone thrifting with their mom their whole life, filled out a couple punch cards, and have had mixed experiences. Most recently was disappointed in customer service handling. Stopped in to browse and saw an item I was interested in buying. Two other customers were already looking so I browsed the rest of the area while they had their turn even though I could overhear them waffling/talking very negatively and not seeming interested while one tried to convince the other, until they noticed I was also waiting to look and started to "vulture hover" and give dirty looks before finally walking away. (which, that part is nobody at the shops fault, my offense at another customer being rude is my own personal problem, and I tried to let it go even though the negativity flicked a nerve.) I went over, checked the item out myself for a couple minutes, and decided I did want to make the purchase and went up to the front to pay, in that time no employees or the other customers had come back to the item. Apparently the other two had gone up to the counter in that couple minutes (I can't assume what was said) and the clerk told me they already mentioned that they might be thinking about buying it after they browsed more. Someone else had also just paid for a similar item and a second clerk was having a sold sticker put on it, so I mentioned/asked about it because the item I was interested in was NOT sold yet and the others had walked away like they didn't want it. I was trying to clarify because it was a totally different item and I wanted to make sure they didn't think it was the wrong one or have some kind of confusion and instead of trying to hear my side of the story, walked away to go talk to the others who "wanted dibs" instead, and brushed me off figuratively...and literally patted/rubbed my shoulder walking by... I'm sure it was a well meaning gesture, but I am a grown adult and a stranger. You should know better than to touch me. It's not comforting, it's condescending. (Still, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt because of this and made sure to let her know I wasn't saying anything to be cranky about any of it to her, just to clarify. Which, I shouldn't have had to do to begin with if they didn't act like they assumed I was just trying to be a jerk) After everyone's quick back and forth, they refused me the sale for an UNSOLD ITEM because it was being considered.. Last time I checked, "MAYBE Calling dibs" was not a valid excuse to deny someone business, and honestly if it had been handled differently or the other customers had just nicely asked me if I could let them think about it before checking it out myself I truly sincerely would not have cared, I'd have been totally happy to let them think it over. No rude language was used to say it out loud...but I know what I look like, and I know what the other two customers looked like. I won't throw a "discrimination" card down over something this petty cause you shouldn't assume, that's for you to look inside and ask yourself, but you also don't get to decide how your actions make other people feel, and this isn't the first time I've felt uncomfortable here. Clinging to something just because you don't want someone else to have it is greedy. Assuming how or who someone is just by looking at them is judgmental, and enabling someone's judgement makes you just as guilty. Disappointed in them as a business. I don't expect my personal disgruntlement to necessarily make or break someone's choice to shop here, but it definitely makes me sure to never recommend it. read more

Holy moly. I haven't stopped in, in a few months but their prices have literally quadrupled! $29-$35 for shoes and $75 for men's boots!? Goodwill, heck even EBay are cheaper with a better selection. These are used, donated shoes. read more

Nice wide shopping aisles. The level of color coordination/sorting and the sizing sorting is very well done and easy to use. Having the back area for furniture, books and holiday/party planning is brilliant. Reasonable prices. Dig it. Support your local Christian school. I know at student there and she's a great kid, so there you go. Doesn't hurt that her mom is a teacher. read more

They haven't increased prices as much as other local thrift stores. Always interesting bargains. They have recently rearranged the store so it feels more open/ spacious. Under shopped. No records/CDs/tapes. Good for books, clothes, dishes, fabric, odds and ends. read more
