This was a very dangerous job: one tree, with a 40-inch trunk diameter was close to the house, with large limbs overhanging the roof, and the other tree was tucked away on the side of the house with difficult access. All the men observed appropriate safety precautions with hard hats, face shields and harnesses while dissecting the trees, limb by limb until it was safe to fell the main trunks. Finally, the massive trunk base was ground away and every scrap of leftover branches were cleaned up and chipped into their grinder.
