Friday, August 22, 2008…read more Although PIXEL GRAFIX (103 Pioneer Way Mountain View, CA - www.pixelgrafix.com) is typically an order by e-mail or phone service, I decided to walk in to attempt to have (2) important banners made in a turn around time of (2) days. Here I met the Creative Director Sam Tajik. He stopped what he was doing and engaged me directly. Shortly, he understood I was attempting to get signs made to use in a "Stop the Violence" intergenerational peace march. Sam showed interest by sitting down and saying we will find a way. For the next hour, we sat side by side and he studiously educated me as to all the possibilities. I felt such relief, gratitude, and confidence as I left that day. I returned less than 24 hours later and as I opened the packaged signs I felt a pride and a certainty these signs would lead a powerful two day march bringing convicts, gang members, law enforcement, and community activist together walking under a peace flag created by PIXEL GRAFIX. So I encourage you to take your business to this true community resource. The work is definitive, professional, colorful, dynamic, and allows for your own statement - Thanks Sam Tajik and your helpful staff; We in the community feel indebted to you. Sincerely, John Malloy

I had some print work and design done by them, including logo, branding, website, brochures and business cards for my small business. I also later had them help with some work for my wedding and they did a beautiful job on that also. I would definitely go back to them for future needs. On the bigger end of the scale I have also seen some of the booths they create for trade shows in person and they are truly incredible. The gentleman who came seemed great, but he didn't send me a quote. One week later, I hadn't heard anything from them. After calling to ask if I could get my quote, the Owner (I believe) told me that they may "take a pass," on our projects. When I asked why, she said they "do this all of the time." She sent a follow-up email blaming it on their schedule and workload, but I had not even given them a delivery schedule. It was a super disappopinting experience. My advice - if you plan on getting a quote from them for a commercial project, get quotes from competitors as well. Be aware that this company evidently chooses to "take a pass" on projects often.
