So about 18 of us went over a Saturday morning in March. Gloria took us on a little tour and explained more about what she and her organization does. The big part of their work is with grieving kids who have lost a loved one in the family. The big house they have in Maitland would host these kids and their family, with professionals helping with counselling, grief-/anger-management, and recreation that will give their souls a measure of respite. The other, smaller, part of their work is along the lines of "Make-A-Wish", where kids with serious/terminal illness and their family go to NHFK to have a wish come true. My mum had been telling me about a "secret vegetarian" restaurant located within the grounds of this Religious Organization near Costco, and so decided to go check out. Unfortunately I should have paid attention to the timings as the restaurant was closed, but there was a grocery store there with a packet of chips/ crisps (a massive weakness!) that I hadn't seen before and so decided to buy them. When I opened the packet up on the drive back home, discovered they tasted massively stale even tho' the date stamped on the packet was still valid!!! We should have turned around and gone back to return them, but they were already shutting down when we left - so I was left with a rotten taste in my mouth (literary spat out those chips, they tasted so stale!) and $1.50 just wasted, My confidence level in checking out the food now is a little bit less, despite how lovely the staff were. The guy at the pro shop was in good spirits. Was helpful and made sure I was set to go. They had a cart girl going around like I always say nice to have on a hot summer day in orlando, you always want to stay hydrated. The guy at the car return said bye and thank you. Value- 3/10. You get what you pay for. I payed $55 for my round. I kinda knew what I was going to expect when I got there. I don't know what came first the course or the houses. If it was the course first, add a practice range, add a bigger pro shop. Add anything. But if it was houses then course, they did what they could do. Practice Facilities- 0.5/10. Only had a 3 hole bumpy/crappy putting green. Location- 7/10. Located near Wekiwa. I never been to the area before but I know it had plenty of stuff around the course to eat or do after or before your round. Design- 7/10. It had 2 holes that were dog legged left and right that was cool to try and get through. Most of the holes were your simple slight left and right holes. Like i said before the course was very tight. It can be a championship course if they take care of it! Atmosphere- 5/10. I played by myself there was a twosome and 2 singles behind me. No one said anything to me, the pace of play could have been a lot worse if it was busy. Took me a little under 4 hours to play but could have finished in 3:30 if they grouped people right. The cart girl was nice as well. Foos- N/A. They did had a place to eat in the club house.

Many were purchased as household pets and, when the owner realized that most exotic pets are not a great idea, needed a new home. You can tell how much this facility loves their animals. This is open only for private tours which is easy to book on their website. I highly recommend a visit to this facility. Of course the high point is petting Penelope the capybara, PJ doesn't much like people as well as petting sloths. But there are also farm animals, Wilbur the pig, goats a donkey, alpaca that you can interact with. They do note that if the animals do not want to interact, they will not force interaction. This shows to me that they are here for animals first and humans to educate. Always beware of any place that will force animal interaction with humans, as it can be very stressful to them. We loved our time and would love to come back again.
