With that said, here goes my experience..... My mum had been telling me about a "secret vegetarian" restaurant located within the grounds of this Religious Organization near Costco, and so decided to go check out. Unfortunately I should have paid attention to the timings as the restaurant was closed, but there was a grocery store there with a packet of chips/ crisps (a massive weakness!) that I hadn't seen before and so decided to buy them. When I opened the packet up on the drive back home, discovered they tasted massively stale even tho' the date stamped on the packet was still valid!!! We should have turned around and gone back to return them, but they were already shutting down when we left - so I was left with a rotten taste in my mouth (literary spat out those chips, they tasted so stale!) and $1.50 just wasted, My confidence level in checking out the food now is a little bit less, despite how lovely the staff were. Not sure if will be back.... Yelp 151/2017

Not really grass, just dirt and crappy grass. The fairways never had any good patches of healthy grass. The bunkers were in bad shape, not taken care of really. The greens were by far the worst Ive been, probably ever. Dead grass everywhere. They had sand and hay on the greens to try and help. But they need more than just help. Views- 2/10. It was surrounded by houses. Yes, nice houses but nothing else really. No wild life, not a lot of water but always pretty trees to look at. Difficulty- 7.5/10. Honestly I was surprised by how difficult this course can/was be. Very tight course, houses on both sides. trees coming onto the fairways. I played from the blue tees and if this course was longer it be up there in difficulty. Add some more water holes and yeah its a 9.5/10. Hospitality- 8/10. The guy at the pro shop was in good spirits. Was helpful and made sure I was set to go. They had a cart girl going around like I always say nice to have on a hot summer day in orlando, you always want to stay hydrated. The guy at the car return said bye and thank you. Value- 3/10. You get what you pay for. I payed $55 for my round. I kinda knew what I was going to expect when I got there. I don't know what came first the course or the houses. If it was the course first, add a practice range, add a bigger pro shop. Add anything. But if it was houses then course, they did what they could do. Practice Facilities- 0.5/10. Only had a 3 hole bumpy/crappy putting green. Location- 7/10. Located near Wekiwa. I never been to the area before but I know it had plenty of stuff around the course to eat or do after or before your round. Design- 7/10. It had 2 holes that were dog legged left and right that was cool to try and get through. Most of the holes were your simple slight left and right holes. Like i said before the course was very tight. It can be a championship course if they take care of it! Atmosphere- 5/10. I played by myself there was a twosome and 2 singles behind me. No one said anything to me, the pace of play could have been a lot worse if it was busy. Took me a little under 4 hours to play but could have finished in 3:30 if they grouped people right. The cart girl was nice as well. Foos- N/A. They did had a place to eat in the club house.

It has a comfortable atmosphere combining casual with classy. The people who work there provide a welcoming attitude and good customer service. I have been pleased every time and occasion I have attended, especially my 80th birthday celebration last November; my guests also expressed their appreciation for such a special evening. Having this country club and restaurant in this area is merely one of the positives for living in this community where we decided to retire.

Hurray for the Florida Marine State Mammal! Too bad they are endangered! Gentle animals! They may live up to forty years in the wild. Manatees are herbivores! This organization has Adopt A Manatee program. I had Flash and Elaine but they say Elaine passed or as we say at Salvation Army, she is Promoted To Glory. Okay so when time to renew, it will be just Flash!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of manatees, they are my spirit animal after all, and I have…read morebeen swimming, diving, and following them for over 30 years. This organization has made such a positive impact on these adorable sea cows, floaty potatoes, mermaids or whatever nickname you prefer for these gentle giants. Located in Longwood, Florida, the Save the Manatee Club (SMC) is a beacon of hope for the conservation of the beloved and endangered manatees. Founded in 1981 by Jimmy Buffett and former Florida Governor Bob Graham, the organization has since grown into a renowned nonprofit dedicated to protecting these awesome sea cows and their habitats. Save the Manatee Club was established at a time when manatee populations were rapidly declining due to threats, such as boat strikes, habitat loss, and water pollution. Recognizing the urgent need to protect this species, the founders embarked on a mission to raise public awareness and implement effective conservation strategies. Today, the organization has over 40,000 active members and continues to work tirelessly to safeguard manatees and their ecosystems. SMC achieves its goals through a combination of advocacy, education, research, rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and legal actions. One of Save the Manatee Club's most popular initiatives is the Adopt-A-Manatee program. This unique program lets individuals symbolically adopt a real, living manatee that also contributes to the organization's efforts. Participants receive a personalized adoption certificate, a photo and biography of their adopted manatee, and regular updates on their manatee's progress. Funds raised through the program support a range of vital conservation efforts, including habitat restoration, public awareness campaigns, and rescue and rehabilitation programs. When my amazing daughter first surprised me with the adoption of Bama several years ago, I was deeply touched by her thoughtfulness and the bond we both felt with these gentle giants. Each year since then, she has renewed the adoption in my name, providing me with a constant reminder of the beauty and wonder of these remarkable animals. Bama made history in 2009 as the first manatee captured and tagged in Alabama waters. Bama typically migrates from Alabama to Florida's west coast each winter. The Save the Manatee Club offers a variety of services and amenities to engage the public and promote manatee conservation including an education center, gift shop, and events and workshops to educate the public about manatees and inspire action for their protection. Bottom line: The Save the Manatee Club has made a profound impact on the conservation of manatees and their ecosystems over the past four decades.
