How odd is it that this is both an excellent cup of coffee and an optometrist's office? Walking in you see a small dining area decorated in the earth tones of the south west. Seating for maybe a dozen. But the back looks like more seating. Upon further investigation you will find an optometrist office complete with a wall of glasses frames. The very pleasant barista said they are both owned by the doctor and you get a free drink with an exam. Would recommend for the coffee. An eye exam will have to wait for another day. read more

My go-to place for coffee when staying in Laredo on this side of town. The barista is super sweet and fast. It wasn't too busy this morning, but I have been here when there was a bit of a line. She handles the register, taking and making the order. She is a one woman show and is seriously on-the-ball! Great customer service with delicious coffee and espresso drinks. Great place for that morning Java. They also have a small selection of sweet pastries and savory items to satisfy both sides of the palate. read more

I randomly discovered this place while stopping by sam's liquor, and it's been on my radar for a few weeks. I finally stop in on a sunday (even though apple maps says the business is closed) and was met with a warm ambiance and the smell of coffee I would have loved to taste. There was no greeting when I walked in, but I didn't mind because the barista was engaged in conversation with a customer at the counter. I looked around a bit but given the size of the place there wasn't much to keep me occupied while this conversation continued. I waited for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement, not even eye contact from the barista to signal she'd be with me in a moment. Since the barista seemed to have had no interest in helping me and was more concerned with hearing about the other customer's relationship, I ended up leaving empty handed. There was a sign on the wall that read "todos son bienvenidos," but it sure didn't feel that way. So much for a first impression! read more

Stopped in this morning for an iced Americano. The entire store was decorated for their 4th anniversary. They were serving free mimosas and everyone was having a wonderful time. I was so impressed with every employee, from the owner (an avid runner who invited me to go running with him), manager (poured the mimosa and made me feel like an old friend), to each barista (thanked me and treated me like a regular). They were friendly, smiling, and creating a wonderful experience for all involved. The coffee was delicious. So good, in fact, that I returned later in the day. Unfortunately, they were already closed but let me get a cold brew regardless. They tried to give it to me for free (I paid anyway)! Fantastic experience, would heartily recommend. Stopped by today for some coffee and a pastry before taking a walk with the dog, and glad I did! The inside is pretty spacious with plenty of seating, seems like a good place to work if that's what you're looking to do. As for the coffee - they offer a variety of hot and cold drinks at reasonable prices. They also have a variety of milks (oat, almond, etc.) and syrups that you don't really find at every coffee place. I got a latte with oat milk and lavender syrup, which was made perfectly, and quickly too! I was eyeing the ginger chai syrup, but that'll have to wait til next time. They also have a number of pastries if you're hungry, too. Definitely check it out if you're in Laredo and looking for coffee! read more

Dosis coffee is amazing! I used to be a barista at Merit Coffee in San Antonio, Texas, so heed my advice. If you're thinking about going, go! Every time I visit Laredo I make sure to pay them a visit. I don't remember the last time that I had coffee from there and I left disgusted because it was burnt or watery. I typically get a black house coffee (drip), or my partner gets an Americano and we are usually content with the drink. I felt like today would be a good day to leave a review because 1) I have never left one and 2) my drip coffee hit different today. I am not affiliated with them in any way. I don't know the owners or anything. I'm just a normal guy who loves specialty coffee and wants to see good businesses like this continue to thrive. Cheers! This coffee shop is was just what I was looking for during a short stop through town: Really good, freshly roasted coffee and a nice selection of pastries. There were a few tables inside and two outside, but not a ton of seating options. The menu was not extensive, but they seem to have options for every palate. I enjoy fresh, light/medium roast coffee with no additives, and this place is on my A list. Bonus: A fine selection of cacti and succulents are sold toward the back of the shop. read more
