His office staff is very friendly and helpful. Gabby was my hygienist recently. She is very meticulous, kind, caring, and did an excellent job with my perio cleaning. Dr. Berg has a large patient following because he is empathetic, gentle, meticulous, reassuring, and highly skilled. I called up and the person who answered the phone was professional and efficient something I had learned not to expect at dentist's offices. I arrived a little early and filled out the forms that everyone seemed to be asking about these days. The Dental Hygienist, Gabriel, Was competent and efficient. He worked hard to put me at ease. The evaluation was efficient and comprehensive. More importantly, there was no effort to upsell me. Despite the effort of my previous dentist to convince me that several procedures were necessary. Interestingly Doctor Hermon, noticed every situation that my previous dentist had had declared to be in need of immediate repair, but he simply suggested that "we keep an eye on this."

For reference I had 4 teeth on the left side of my mouth that was all fillings, then crowned and then root canaled, then 2 were implants and then one was losing bone (canine) and no one could figure it out. I was temporarily living in Delray and went to Spodak for a cleaning. It was super modern and had every speciality under one roof. (I can't find that anywhere else.) You want a dentist that is comprehensive even if you want cosmetic too. Anyone can do cosmetic. You need someone who cares about how your teeth function. Functionality is the key to dental health. Dr Spodak came in (the patriarch) he was very warm and comforting. Terrific bedside manner and he said to me.. "you don't have bad teeth, you probably do your dental work all at once and they offer to do the left side and then the right side" I nodded and finally felt seen for the first time in a dental chair. While wide eyed I managed to say "uh huh" he said "well they ended all that work on your right side, filed it up so much so your bite is off and of course you lost your left side. If you start with me today I can save your teeth. If you don't you will lose the other side. I didn't have the money at that point. I asked can I just get a bite guard. He said no that won't work. (This is how much integrity they have, knowing it was all I could afford they didn't try to bring me in and make me pay $500 for something that wasn't going to work. In all my years, I haven't found a dentist like that) I ended up moving to Arizona and when I did have the money, I could not find one dentist who could help me or listen to me. They all offered bite guards and acted like I didn't brush or floss my teeth enough. I am not joking I have seen everyone in this state and it doesn't matter how much I brush and floss it is my bite. Dr. Spodak wanted to truly save my teeth out of 43 dentists. I've seen he was the only one to offer suggestions on how to save them. Unfortunately other dentists don't want to prevent they only want to fix. If I could go back I would have stayed in Delray and kept going to Dr Spodak. I don't know if he is still practicing but I am seriously thinking of flying out there just for a visit.

What impressed me most was the level of care and follow-up. I pleaded with them to try and squeeze me in, sin I was already at Boynton Beach Blvd and Hagen Ranch. NO, they couldn't do that. They claimed that they had no one else. So I'm late or a no show, they charge me, but I wasted my time, gas and energy with absolutely no consideration in their part. I've described the problem, and she just does her dismissive giggle. I went elsewhere to start with a new dentist (and get a 2nd opinion on the other cabities)...nope, no cavities, not even little "shadows" like Staller said. Now I have to have the filling--that Staller did--removed and replaced which will be a nightmare. Additionally, Staller's exams are a joke: she puts zero effort into inspecting teeth, gums, and she doesn't do oral cancer checks.

They tried to tell me I needed to get more recent x-rays but is all my insurance plan provides. They insisted in took them even though I told them I was not going to be responsible for paying. Even though I was having no issues they brought up the images on a huge screen in the treatment room and told me I needed gum therapy, several fillings removed and more. It was like a used car lot where the hygienist did an assessment and then sent me in to see their business manager for the estimate of over $1000. They are a total scam and trying to up charge for unnecessary procedures. I do not recommend.
