Nestled between a convenience store and a pub is this amazing stockist of aquatics. You would not…read moreknow it was here unless you have seen the website or it has been recommended (hence the heads up here) - as it is in the middle of a housing estate and in the most unlikely location possible. These guys really know what they are talking about in here and spend time asking about your current set up and the inhabitants of your tank before they sell you ANYTHING. I have found that they are really helpful, will give you honest advice(even if it means losing a sale) and they will order for you things they have not got in stock as long as viable. They are Marine specialists which appeals to me as most places seem to specialise in tropical and only dabble in marine on the side. They do however stock some tropicals and cold water also. The main show tank in the centre of the store is overwhelming - with some outstanding clowns and Tangs of an impressive size. The main focus of this tank though is the coral - a really strong collection and sizeable specimens - not the weedy little offcuts you get in some of the non-specialists. They have a good variation of 'cleaning crew' to offer including snails, crabs and various shrimp. The prices here are not the cheapest I have seen - but the tanks are all clear and well maintained and the stock look healthy and colourful. I have never seen a diseased or dead fish here on any occasion. They will also advise you on feeding if needs be. I give the staff at Deep blue all the respect in the world for not only their depth of knowledge but their friendly and painstaking level of customer service. These guys proved invaluable when I started out with my Nano reef last year - and saved me some costly mistakes. Deep Blue do stock some tanks and accessories but due to the limited size of the premises compared to the garden centres etc,, they have decided to concentrate on livestock mainly. A decision which upholds itself as a wise one when you see what they have achieved there.

The shop sells about equal amounts of mens and womens clothes and have a good selection of footwear too. Unfortunately, being a size 16, they tend not to have too many clothes that I can buy which is a real shame but they do have accessories such as belts, bags, wallets etc and some very cool shoes that all seem to be reasonably priced for the labels they sell. One downside was that the last time I went in the shop I wanted to buy a pair of boots and although I asked for different sizes/colours the staff on duty did not seem particularly helpful or interested in serving me and after a while I gave up and instead ordered the same boots online. I really believe that good customer service is vital - espeically in independant stores and Mission was really lacking in this.

My experience this term has been shocking, the staff are very rude, have no customer service skills, and make assumptions and blame the customers for their behaviour and wrong doings. I think all staff need retraining in customer service and how to write an email correctly and professionally. I have found a new supplier online who are much cheaper and definitely more professional. After spending thousands of pounds in this store over the years, they should be ashamed in their behaviour.

Peacocks is a really good shop in a town where there are not too many clothing shops…read more The thing I like about peacocks is that it keeps up with the latest fashion trends but still manage to keep the prices down. They sell clothes, accessories, lingerie and footwear for men, women and children. The Hinckley store is a good size and stocks a good range of all the above. They do only have 2 changing rooms so you can be queuing for a while during peak times but as I work nearby I tend to go in the week when it isn't so busy. It is located next to Wilkinson in the Britannia Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful enough and is probably one of the most affordable clothes shops in hinckley.

Keri Anns is a great shop to visit for cut price cosmetics, perfume, hair accessories etc…read more It is located at the back of Britannia Centre next to Diamonds and Pearls shop. It is packed full of cosmetics from makes such as maybelline, Pout, Estee lauder all at largely reduced prices. The perfume that they sell is also cheaper than shops like Boots (there is a perfume that I but that would cost me around £20 is only £9.99 in Keri Anns) so it is definately worth a vist. The staff are friendly and helpful enough although sometimes they feel a little unapprocahable but the low-cost Clarins products makes up for this. Keri Anns is a great independant shop in a town where more retail outlets are much needed.
