I came in for a second appointment and he went over the different ivnestments with me. I told him which one I wanted and asked him to email me the final plan. He had me paid $500. However, he never gave me a written plan even after months and several requests. He kept emailing me docusign requests to sign and to transfer my money over. When I asked him the tax implications if and when he has to sell my stocks before transferring my money into whatever investments/annuity he has? He said I'd have to wait and he will let me know after the fact!! I asked him what kind of annuities he plans to invest my money in and if I can get my money back whenever I wanted or how long it will take for me to get my money back? He then said some of it will only allow me to take out 10%/year; this means he just guaranteed a pay check for himself for the next 10 years and if something happens to me, my beneficiaries will not be able to get the money out for another 10 years. And when I asked for my $500 back since he did not do anything to earn it, giving a investment plan, as the law requires him to do so, he refused. Then his dad, who Chris included in all the emails to and fro me, called and emailed me back and left nasty messages for me. They wouldn't refunded my money until I threatened to complain to FINRA. I did not get my money back for months and when I questioned Chris, Bobby wrote me an email basically stating that he did what he was supposed to and if I did not get the money back, tought! So I asked him back that if one of his clients wanted to get their money out and did not get it back, would he say that to them? Run away from these guys, they don't care about you and your well being. All they care about is getting themselves a pay day and if something goes wrong, you're on your own. If you decide to go with them, you should ask all the pertinent questions and have them put the plan in writing in details before transferring your money to them.

During these years I had scrimped, did without and saved money to have a comfortable retirement. Unfortunately they took two-thirds of my money, for what, I do not understand. I did not save all my money to hand it over to a company that, in my humble opinion, did not earn as much of my money as they took. Life will not be as comfortable as I thought it would be in retirement and I am still doing without and not enjoying retirement.

When he does it's to talk to you like you are beneath him. I at one point told him that his tone was very condescending and that I am not a child. The deal on that home fell through and we proceeded to find another home. William did not contact me at all until less than a week before closing. When I had questions he started every sentence with "like I told you" I had to stop him and remind him that he has not even spoken to me in over a month to tell me anything. I asked if it was customary in Florida to discuss his clients financial information with the realtor. I was assuming he had been speaking with the agent because it was not me. He came to the closing and immediately started talking to me in the worse manner possible. In the middle of him telling me what he "told" me weeks ago, I called his assistant and she confirmed that I was informed yesterday. This really set him off! My husband interrupted him and told him not to talk to me that way. Will's exact words were "she needs to be talked to this way" needless to say there was almost a physical altercation. The Title company representatives wanted him to leave their office. They had never heard a lender speaking that way and said she had difficulty with him as well. He was slamming doors and having an all out tantrum. She offered to refer me to another lender instead of continuing. Honestly if it wouldn't be a detriment to the sellers, I would cancel this contract and find another lender. He does not deserve a dime of my money. My advice is if you are a home buyer or a realtor, use anyone at this company with the exception of William Merritt. One thing I forgot to add. After the first deal fell through and I corrected him on his condescending tone. He offer to pay for the appraisal on the next home. (I'm guessing this was a ploy to keep me with him) After the appraisal was performed I noticed that it was charged to my credit card (without my knowledge or consent..that's fraud) Will then stated that he was unable to pay for it as he had promised.

A family member and I were both told by a Compass Payment Solutions representative that I could cosign a loan for the amount of the surgery. After I gave the CPS rep my information for the credit run, I was called back and told that I (the alleged cosigner) was approved for a credit card with a $15k limit, which was over twice the amount of the procedure. I advised the CPS rep that I was not interested in receiving a credit card, and reminded her that she told me that I would be cosigning a loan for about $7,000. She explained to me that the Capital One Credit card would be issued automatically and that there was nothing that she could do. I was furious. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the CPS rep said that she would have someone call me back. I eventually received a call back two hours later, but the company was not able to do anything for me. He told me that this was one of her first accounts--which she was apparently allowed to handle without supervision. I reversed the Capital One application, but the credit run is still on my account. In addition, the Compass Payment Solutions Representative Vanessa Soto was clearly not in an office at any point in our phone conversations. This was evidenced by the fact that she was on a cellphone that had spotty reception. I find the company's lack of professionalism in letting this untrained and not particularly forthcoming account rep to handle accounts from the field pretty disheartening. If you require a credit card to get surgery, just apply directly to the company. Whatever you do, stay away from Compass Payment Solutions of Palm Beach, FL. I would give them no stars if that was an option.
