Perhaps my worst experience in a restaurant in a decade - and I eat out 3 times a week. Arrived…read moreexcited. My girlfriend and I are huge pizza fans, live close-by and were looking forward to a great pizza. We'd arrived the week before to find them unexpectedly closed and had returned to try again. Bit of a rocky start. 5EU for a 400ml diet coke... when the non dietcoke is 4.50? The standard price is 3.50 to 4 in every other restaurant within a mile or so. But... whatever... we get it. Some restaurants make money from their drinks when the food is cheap. We can dig it. But then... a. Coke arrives. 3/4 full glass. 1/3 full of ice. Sorry, we'd like it cold no ice. b. New drink arrives. It's totally flat. Not a single bubble. Seems it's been poured from the 2l bottle at the back of the fridge. Sorry, can we have one with bubbles? c. New drink arrives. It's still flat, but now, with a tiny slice of orange. As if to say... here you go you precious little babies, we've made you something for your over the top schmancy tastes. But it's been poured from the same, flat bottle, likely bought for around a buck from the supermarket. Totally sucked. We were made to fill like shit just for asking that for a cold coke with some bubbles. For 5EU it seemed like a reasonable enough request and no we didn't need to be made to feel precious for asking for it. We stood. We left. Never to return. Sux, as we live 300m away, and were hoping to make it a regular. We aren't cheap. We walked 300m to another restaurant and dropped 80EU on dinner. But gee whiz. Being made to feel like dirt for asking for something to be brought up to just the bare minimum acceptable standard? We don't need that kind of shit. Just apologise, sort the drink out, we all have a bit of a laugh and move on. Instead? Lost a customer forever and got this well deserved, scathing review. Can't comment on the food. We walked out before it arrived.

It was great to be able to just walk in and be seated right away. Our waiter, Rosen, was extremely nice. My dad had some type of pizza -- I think it is known for the pizza but they have a full menu. I did not try it, but I can tell u it is thin crust & square shape, which I really like. My dad loved it. I got the vegetable lasagna with bechamel sauce. Very yummy and huge portion! I had half right there, the rest to-go and that was breakfast for two more days. I woke up craving it! The service was also very fast, but not because it tasted or looked pre-made. It's not fancy but certainly not like a food court. It would be perfectly fine for a casual weeknight date. I've been to a million Italian restaurants that are way fancier and absolutely more pricey, and this place is better than many of them. It seems to have various locations around Berlin, so check it out if u r visiting, touring, here for work. It's a versatile kind a place, plus u can pick up almost anything else u need in the Alexa Mall!

You pick what pizza you want and the pieces are huge, we normally got two for each and some Fritz cola. This is hands down the best quick bite I've had here in Berlin with a warm, comforting, and inviting surrounding. Every time we have walked in it has been slow only to fill up entirely in a matter of minutes. You can't go wrong with anything they have laid out. I would recommend coming here more than once to truly appreciate their selection of pizza.

He found one in fact, that's so satisfactory, and even more fantastic that they have a Barrel Aged one for only €10. (this is easily $16 in San Francisco!) I had two of these and was about to order a third one when someone (blame my husband) decided it was time to go home :( okay, okay. He had a legit reason, we had a 8am flight the next day. That didn't stop the crew from ordering multiple rounds of brewski, from IPAs to classic witbier or just ask the staff for the current specials and they can recommend something to your liking. Centrally located in Prenzlauer berg, this is a fun and relaxing place to hang out. The group was in a bitter sweet mood as it always goes on our last night in Berlin since we only see them twice a year. No doubt, I will be back to Salt n Bone. Especially since the menu is unapologetically American and in the land of currywurst and doner kebabs, that's definitely a good thing.
