Sadly, I agree with the several negative reviews about the personality of the manager here. I…read morevisited twice. The first time, I was greeted congenially by a long haired, young employee who was busy checking washing machines, folding laundry, and helping customers. Unfortunately, the next visit, I encountered the only repeatedly rude person in a customer service industry in 12 years. She identified herself as the manager. Maybe the owners should promote the young woman and demote this lady. Many examples: The first time, all shower rooms were open and clean. The second time, the manager was standing at the desk, not greeting anyone or offering help, but reading her phone for the 10 minutes I was checking out machines. When I asked about showers, she said that only one was clean. I offered to pay to reserve it for 2 showers (my husband after me). She would not take my money until I was immediately ready to take a shower and my husband immediately afterward. She said only one shower was clean. She laughed in a huff when I turned away at her lack of customer service. She did not help me find an open washer. She did not clean a second shower room. When I said that a prior employee let me pay in advance (this is mid Sept, not fishing season busy), she said, "I am the manager, and the answer is no." After I found an unbusy, unbroken washing machine, she took money for both my husband and me after another customer who, apparently, got the only clean shower. She did not talk about cleaning a second one but took my money. When I pointed out that my husband would not be "immediate" but that I would have to dress and alert him in the parking lot, she said, twice, " I accept your sarcasm." I live in Alaska and find service personnel exceptionally nice throughout the state. This woman left me shaking with her repeated rudeness and lack of service. I guess she hates her job. I encourage the owners to review her service, as well as others in their empoy who work harder and are more cordial. There are enough negative reviews about this woman. My experience is not a one off.

Literally there's a queen bed and one person walking space on either side of the bed. No storage space nor closet. One sitting chair. Tiny bathroom and shower. Felt like an RV more so than a motel room....too cramped. $165/night....mehhhh. Location is great for dip netting. The check in guy was so lack luster. He didn't exhibit the type of hospitality I felt characteristic of places that charge that much for a closet space. Staff did respond quickly to requests and check out guy was warmer than the initial guy. They have some $250/night cabins shoved onto the parking lot and tightly packed RV lot. I guess I'd say...bravo on maximizing every square inch to make $$$! I would definitely look for a more spacious spot next time I'm in the area. I like to be able to stretch my arms and legs without hitting a wall.

There is a bathroom, small fridge and queen bed. The views are amazing. It may be less crowded because dip net season just ended a few days ago but we didn't feel overcrowded. I don't know why everyone is complaining, it lists what you get for the price online. The owners are the quiet type but were very accommodating. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel but it was 5 stars in that it offered what it advertised, was clean and comfortable. It seems like most of the complaints are from the RV park users. If you're a mature adult and enjoy a quiet camp with a beautiful view I think you'd be happy here. It's not a 20's something party spot.

I got a hold of the owner, Courtney, who made the reservation process so easy and booked my family and another family coming down with us in the Chapel Cabin. Not knowing what to expect, we packed the car with toiletries, camping chairs, bed stuff. Turns out, we didn't need it because the cabin came stocked with it all. There is an amazing little "social circle" around a fire pit and propane grill (utensils all included.) There is pre-chopped firewood that I was almost demanded to use as much as we wanted which was nice in the cooler evenings. The cabin itself has a fully stocked kitchen (but no dishwasher), a queen bed and two twin beds upstairs and a pull-out sofa and futon downstairs. I'm not much of an outdoorsman or camper but I could come back time and time again to ACBTP. The one thing that really stuck out to me was the service from Courtney and Eric. While we didn't run into them during our stay, their phone numbers are all over the complex and if anything is needed or if we had any questions, they welcome a call or text and were very quick to respond. From the beginning, I felt like I had known these guys my entire life, that's how nice they were. We're already trying to plan our next trip. I was on a mission to see Molly the Moose but it didn't happen. Hopefully next time she'll grace us with her presence. Highly recommend this location, whether its for a quick getaway from Anchorage life or if you're coming down to fish as the Kenai River is a hop, skip and jump away.
