And then I thought to call the general contractor who redid the bathroom in the other half of my double and she highly recommended Southern Refinishing. I called them and booked an appointment two weeks later and I wasn't really sure...was the guy just coming out to look at it or what. He arrived said he could take care of the problem right then or come back but that the bathtub would be unusable for 48 hours. They were done in less than an hour and it looks amazing (see my pictures). They were really professional and neat. *warning* the smell is potent. So you might want to complete this sort of project when you do NOT need to sleep in the next room. I think this would be the case for any company used.

I explained that I thought they were done for the day and gave them my phone number so that they could contact me when they were on their way and when they were leaving. Over the next several days they continued to be rude by not notifying me that they were going to be more than an hour late. That property fell through, but fast forward a few months, and they just finished a HUGE renovation on one of my investment properties in Hammond. They did a full gut / reno on a grimy 3 bed / 2 bath single family house. One contractor told me the work would take 8 weeks, but these guys finished it in under 5 weeks! There are many wonderful things I could say about them, but a few things that set them apart from other contractors: Speed (they work fast) and Dedication (their team works 6-7 days / week and start their days as early as 6am. They have been on my project site for 21 hours on some days to finish their work). I feel many contractors have pretty good general knowledge, but no one is as fast and dedicated as these guys.
