History
Established in 1973.
The Door Church Tucson was founded on December 16, 1973, when Pastor Harold Warner and his wife, Mona, were sent out from The Potter’s House Church in Prescott, Arizona. They began faithfully preaching the Gospel and reaching lost souls with a deep compassion to serve. As the Holy Spirit moved, scores of individuals received Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Pastor Warner and Mona patiently and diligently discipled these believers. Following the biblical model of world evangelism, these disciples were subsequently sent out to plant and start new churches in other cities, states, and nations. Under Pastor Warner's steadfast leadership, more than 600 churches worldwide trace their roots back to The Door Church. By the grace of God, the small fellowship that first began on Veteran's Boulevard has grown into a thriving, global-reaching Church.
Meet the Business Owner: Harold W.
Pastor Harold Warner gave his life to Christ on November 15, 1970, in Prescott, Arizona, experiencing a radical transformation from a carefree young hippie to a man filled with the Holy Spirit. After a devastating car accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, Pastor Warner and his wife, Mona, bravely answered God’s call to pioneer a ministry in Tucson, Arizona.
Since founding Door Church in December 16, 1973, Pastor Warner has faithfully led the congregation while championing the Great Commission through a global church-planting movement that now spans over 50 nations. His greatest joy remains seeing lives radically transformed by Jesus, both right here in Tucson and across the world.
