The biggest selection of clothing is women's, although there is a small children and men's area. The shop is in a lovely former private home which also houses the offices of the Assistance League. There are plenty of housewares and decorative items and I often purchase greeting cards there for 75 cents each. The icing on the cake is that the Assistance League was the first nonprofit, non-sectarian, non partisan organization started in the western United States. The League's origin goes back to the great San Francisco Fire and Earthquake when Anne Banning, a Los Angeles society woman, and some of her friends, assisted victims of the disaster. Years later, in 1919, the first chapter of the league was formed and the work continues today. The money raised by the Assistance League goes right back into the local community and supports the arts for youth, among other things. You can drop your donations off during the hours the shop is open.

It is easy to see as you are driving by on Colorado Boulevard because many times they have special sale items located in front of their display windows. Many of the items in the store were clothing but they had other items as well. There were pieces of furniture and electrical items for sale. The store is crowded with products to view. I was not pestered or bothered as I came in the store browsing. When I had a question there was a friendly and knowledgeable staff member named V who helped me out. She let me know where the items that I was looking for were located. She also explained that items were constantly changing daily. Items I looked at were in good condition. Revival Boutique is worth stopping in to see what is available on a periodic basis. There were a few people that were browsing for items when I was in the store. I have been by the store when there were many people shopping inside. After talking with V I realized they must have had a special sale in progress. This is a great location near Pasadena City college, and nice residential areas. This area of Colorado Boulevard has a number of other small stores, restaurants and coffee shops. It is a great place to walk. There is usually parking along Colorado Boulevard or on one of the side streets nearby. They post their staged "sales" on estate sale websites and mislead people. It's not nice to waste people's time this way. They purchase items from estate sales and sell them to the public at retail pricing. Often times you will see the same items being displayed that didn't sell in their past sales.. this means it's their own items being sold, not a true estate sale.
