The ambiance is sleek and high-end, and everything is very clean, especially the bathroom. The day we were here it was terribly hot and humid outside, but this pool hall was nicely air conditioned and really comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet inside and that combined with the cool blue lighting created a peaceful respite from the glaring sun. All of the clientele were speaking French, but as we struggled in our French, the gracious bartender addressed us fluently in English. Tapis Vert has a huge room with about 50 pool tables, another huge room with lots of card tables, and a third huge room with a dozen dartboards. It also has video slot machines and stools along two walls, and an area with Babyfoot aka Foosball tables. You can sit at hightop tables or in booths and enjoy your drinks. It's located in a big strip mall with a gigantic parking lot.

I'll be honest, this Sando can/should be improved a lot. I would give the sando a 2/5. You guys can do better here. With the sando, I upgraded to side of poutine. This was the winner of the night. Very simple classic poutine: fries, curds, gravy. It was excellent. The fries are thin and crispy. I prefer this over thicker cut fries. Gravy and curds were good. They didn't put so much gravy that everything got soggy. I thought it was a very very solid poutine. 5/5. The Beignet were also very good. A maple sauce of some sort I believe. Presented nicely. 4/5. Service was good. Atmosphere was really nice. Prices were reasonable. Definitely could see myself being a regular if I lived here.

That is until the drunk group comes in and are obnoxious, rude and ruin the nice vibe. That is when we leave. It's too bad that this seems to be a regular thing. Will definitely be back, but hoping something will be done about checking at the door turning away extremely drunk groups. One star off for this, otherwise a fantastic karaoke find in Quebec City.
