They told me that nobody can help me and even police won't help because it is a civil matter. They hung up the phone when I asked their department duties and said I am not the only unhappy pet owner who contacts them. I was informed to take it to the city and complain. Full of negative attitude and no sympathy from the "ANIMAL" control. I am a very frustrated and disappointed pet owner right now. My dog has 4 broken ribs and severely bruised lung and a bite wound on her abdomen and currently hospitalized. Torrance animal control must do better than this. Separate incident - they did nothing when my family and neighbors were attacked by hawks. My dad's jacket was ripped and his head had a cut and bleeding from the repeated attacks. Many neighbors were chased away by the hawks. We ended up cutting down the tree.

I was really hopeful, but the minute I walked in, I probably should have paid attention to the red flags. The woman sitting behind the desk barely acknowledged me, which didn't give me the best first impression. Still, the groomers seemed friendly and experienced, so I decided to give them a chance. When my poor dog came out, he looked like he had been run over by a lawn mower! And to make matters worse, I paid practically the same amount. Needless to say, we went right back to Soggy Paws Pet Grooming- and now I have an entirely new appreciation for the wonderful job they do. Lesson learned! Soggy Paws, you've got us back, and this time we're staying.

I wrote this review only after I tried a different place for my dog's grooming work…read more I have a terrier which requires hand stripping - which is a unique grooming style for dogs have double-layered hair. I had this puppy for only several months old, and booked this place for grooming. The appointment was confirmed, and due to the staff /business owner who can do the work was on maternity leave, I had to waited for 2 months - which was ok, we could wait. But when the appointment was approaching, I was contacted for delaying the appointment for another month due to the staff needed more time for the leave. I was ok with that, and so another month to wait. One week before the appointment time, I was contacted again as the staff can't do the job on the agreed day, it had to be rescheduled again. I was patient enough for almost three month wait. But I felt not very respectful for the 3rd time change of my appointment time! I had to reschedule my time off to make it work. When I express my concerns of the time change, the message I got literally was " We don't need new customers honestly." Really?! I felt really bad but the short time change notice put me into a position that I didn't want to waste more time researching another place ( maybe I should). So I went and the hand stripping charges by hourly rate, usually takes 1-3 hours for the session. I had a small-medium size dog, it was our first time doing that, I had no expectations. But I didn't expect that they did took 3 full hours to do the job, so I was charged for 3 hours, plus the bath... I got a final bill of over $300!! And I felt the style was a bit off- I sent a photo to our breeder, she thought the same... So I tried a different place for my second time, just to compare with my 1st experience at Soggy Paws Pet Grooming. The final bill I got from a different place was only $165 - (and my dog is growing bigger, probably with much more hair to be stripped, and my dog looked great!!) So I think the business owner of Soggy is right: They don't need new customers! And I have found a better place to go after all. That is my experience with this place. Hope it is helpful.
