This is new Latin-American and Caribbean snack shop, focusing on sour dough donuts, churro dobuts, churros, heart churros, churros with soft serve ice cream, coffee, Mexican refreshers, combos, and unique Jamaican patties. They soft-opened on 2026-07-10 and grand-opened on 2026-07-17.
During grand opening period of 2026-07-17 to 19, several different food items are given out to the first 100 customers.
For the donuts, start by choosing which type: Mini Churro Donut ($2.99), Regular Churro Donut ($3.99), or Sweet Sourdough Donut ($4.99). You may also but them in boxes of 3, 6, or 12. Then you choose your flavour, which is a combination of sauces and toppings.
There is a partial open kitchen where you can watch then apply sauces and toppings on donuts. There are 12 different sauces and 8 different toppings! These sauces and toppings may rotate weekly.
One partner, David, is Mexican. The churros are Mexican and the donuts are Mexican-inspired.
The donuts use a sour dough that is naturally fermented for 48 hours! They are fluffy soft on the inside and a little crunchy on the outside. They even stay fresh for 2 days; unheard of!
I had the Classic Donut (has a cinnamon topping) and the Biscoff Mini Donut. Both were really good.
I also had the Heart Churros. Half the heart was dipped in chocolate. So delicious!
The Churros are vegan and are 10 inch, a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They last longer for 2 hours when cool but best eaten warm.
The other partner, Serge, is Haitian. He makes the unique patties (most are $5.00) under the brand name of Sak Pàté. Beef, Chicken, Spinach-Kale with Feta, Salt Fish Cod, all in a square patty; the fish is in a trianglular patty.
Serge rolls the dough for 6 days (rolled every day) before using them to wrap the ingredients.
I had the Beef ($5.00) and Chicken ($5.00) Patties. They were both good. I have to try the fish next time.
There are indoor table and counter seating. There is lively Latin-American music playing in the background.
There is free WiFi. The shop is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms downstairs, hence they are not wheelchair accessible. There is paid and free neighbourhood street parking. There are two high chairs for little children.
