I've had many of king cakes from New Orleans to Alexandria to Lake Charles, and this one was top notch!!! The women who worked the kitchen at the elementary school I went to used to make them from scratch they were the best!!! (About 30 years ago). Twanies is the first I've had that comes close. That bread is baked with love! It is so flavorful. I love the sugar crystals. The icing tastes so fresh and doesn't dry like cement. Our king cakes stayed moist for the four days it lasted on our counter. I can't wait to order more!!!
