I spent $50 on a flavorless meal after a long day of hard work. Really sucks when you work really hard for your money and choose to support local, hoping that they have a passion for the food they make, I was super disappointed when I got home to taste nothing but grease. I ordered the roasted duck, beef chow fun-- which only had two small pieces of meat, and the crab won tons, which only had cream cheese and no crab. I initially asked for duck sauce or any sauce that would make it more flavorful and they said they had none. I called to let them know, and they had no way of making it better. I grew up going here when we were craving Chinese food and used to be good, it's either under a new ownership or whoever is in the back cooking just doesn't care and it shows.

Crispy roast duck is fresh and juicy, and the shrimp fried noodles are deliciousDon't miss it when you walk by.

I I don't get why the reviews are bad. The quality of the food has improved so much since the new owners took over.

While visiting Waimea on the Big Island. I would occasionally stop to eat Chinese food at Parker Ranch Shopping Center foodcourt. This was one of my dads favorite Chinese eatery. Most of the times I at here in the past the food was tasty. Unfortunately, today the food didn't have as much flavor. I had a mixed plate. 1/2 order chow mein 1/2 order chow funn, sweet sour pork, and roast duck. The noodles was good but the sweet sour pork especially the roast duck lacked flavor.

Dons is a quick easy fresh Chinese food takeout food Restaurant conveniently located in the Parker Ranch shopping center. Last night a mini takeout half and half rice and Chinese noodle noodle with two choices of meat Set a fortune cookie in Chopstix for less than eight dollars I recommend this place not only because the owner Ellis is my friend but it's convenient is always fresh and the prices are affordable

The taste is still good, you can eat a lot of dishes, and many flavors are worth trying, and the price is reasonable.

This location seems to have better quality of food than their Kona location. Located in the Parker Ranch Center food court, it's a convenient place for grab-and-go food. It's what you would expect from a food court restaurant: not terrible, but not spectacular. Service was also average. The food is good for their prices. We ordered their chow mein, beef broccoli, and orange chicken (basic, I know - but you can't really go wrong!). I do like the quality of their food better than the Kona Don's Chinese Kitchen. It tasted fresher, like it wasn't sitting out for very long.

I was disgusted by what I found in my plate. I can't imagine how much other roaches and bugs was in the food. Gross

We shared the ahi poke nachos and ordered the macadamia crusted mahi mahi, pork shank, and grill trio. All hearty options and very delicious. The first time I've seen my husband get a to-go box at a fine dining establishment because of the portion size - pork shank was very generous. I'd order any of the dishes we selected again. Drinks were enjoyed by our table too. We weren't seated right next to the window but still had a great view of the water which melted into the night. One of our most enjoyable meals during our trip.

It has that old-school vibe, with great service, and great food. As soon as we sat down, they brought over some kids' quesadilla appetizers. The kids were quiet and we could sit and relax. Their menu is a blend of land and sea entrees. Even the kids' menu was elevated with short ribs and green beans. We all enjoyed our meals. The butterfish, scallops, and white fish were among our favorites. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly so they melt in your mouth. The meat loaf (which consisted of 2 large loaves) was also very good. We ended the evening with chocolate lava cake, which was gooey and delicious.

We showed up right when they opened at 5:30 p.m. without reservations on a Wednesday evening and was luckily able to get seated at the bar. Between the two of us, we ordered a bunch of items off the "small" section of the menu, including the smokey sashimi, sizzling tetsuyaki poke, smoked tonnato caesar, crispy rice, and their special of the day -- agedashi wontons. Of the items we ordered, the crispy rice and the agedashi wontons were my favorite items. The crispy rice is priced per piece, and you'll certainly want to order at least two per person, because one is simply not enough. The rice block is fried a beautiful golden brown -- similar to a hash brown. The crispy rice pairs perfectly with the ono mixture on top of it. With the agedashi wontons, I initially thought the filling was a bit under-seasoned at first, but when enjoyed with the broth, the wonton comes out tasting perfectly seasoned. The broth had so much umami to it and the wonton had the perfect crunch to it I always love a good Caesar salad and the one here is spectacular. With anchovy croutons, shaved cured egg yolk, and smoked ahi dressing, you're getting some creative, premium ingredients in this salad and everything works so well together. Even if you're not a salad person, I would definitely recommend giving this dish a try. On top of delicious food, the service at Moon & Turtle was spectacular. Food was promptly brought out after we placed our order, pacing didn't ever feel rushed, our water cups were never empty, and our server checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. I would definitely stop by Moon & Turtle again if I'm in Hilo.
