I was left wondering how much it would cost (and even if it was possible) to fix it??? Short answer, it wasn't. Long answer, Les's Glass to the rescue. I drove to Les's Glass and showed them a piece of what was left. A very helpful guy came out from the back (forgot his name) and explained to me that although the glass I broke isn't made anymore, there are a couple patterns that come pretty close. A couple of choices were brought out and compared to the original. With his expert advice, a choice was made, glass was cut to spec and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes with what I thought was a very reasonably priced shiny new piece of glass. Upon arrival home the new piece slipped right in place and unless you have a well trained eye, you would never know it was a replacement pane. Need glass... check 'em out!

Kevin (Design Consultant) was very attentive and listened carefully to our needs, providing different options for our review and discussion. His priority was to deliver what we wanted in our kitchen update. He guided us through the entire selection process and always gave us his input when we asked and made adjustments along the journey based on our feedback. He took the time to provide us numerous estimated costs for different options and actually in the end, they were under budget. Kevin and his installation team (headed by David) was very professional and detail oriented and it showed in the quality of their work. We were impressed with their exceptional craftsmanship with cabinet door, sink, hardware and painting installation. In addition, they left our home spotless after every visit from the first day through the last day of the project installation. In fact, there was a minor flaw in one of the cabinet doors and they installed it, but informed us immediately they ordered a new door to be re-installed upon arrival to their showroom. Their customer service was wonderful. Kevin and David stayed on their timeline through the entire journey, beginning to end. We also like to give a big shout out to Heidi for exceptional customer service throughout. She was responsible for keeping the communication back and forth with us and her team. She was always upbeat, kind and helpful providing answers back to us within the same day. Kevin was upfront and honest about what Savers could deliver and they did not disappoint. Can't frankly say how good they are at the job - because they failed at the sales cycle…read more For four windows in a base configuration, they were north of $14k. To put in perspective: Home Depot installed the highest end Simonton windows possible with the specs requested and came in at around $7k installed. Which means that HomeSealed has excessive profits padded in. So...if you don't care about the money side, they might be perfectly fine to work with as a local outfit. EDIT: laminated was requested as a cost compare option, not a requirement. Even if laminated were a requirement, Home Depot's was still cheaper by over $3k. Fact is - as we said - HomeSealed is just priced higher because they don't use every manufacturer, they only use the ones they use, which tend to lean the higher cost. That's what we said: they might be fine at their job and you might want the best of whatever, maybe they're fine. BUT...if you're like 95% of homeowners who feel that significant pricing differences for basic things like colors is illogical, HomeSealed isn't for you.

**Verette Construction Review**…read more On Thursday, May 7, 2026, I met with Verette Construction at my home to obtain a quote for drain tile installation. The initial meeting went well, so on July 7, 2026, at 8:08 a.m., I called to request a quote for some additional work. An appointment was scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. When no one arrived, I called the office at 11:28 a.m. and was told there had been an emergency call and that no one would be coming out that day. While emergencies happen, no one contacted me to let me know that no one would be showing up. We rescheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the second appointment went much the same way. At 3:11 p.m., after no one had arrived, I called the office and was told he was likely on his way from another job site. By 3:38 p.m., I called again because no one had shown up, and the office said they would check on his whereabouts. At 3:41 p.m., I received a return call informing me that he "thought it was tomorrow." At that point, I decided to move forward with another contractor. What disappointed me most wasn't that appointments had to be rescheduled or that someone was running late--it was the complete lack of communication. A phone call or text to let me know about the delay or scheduling issue would have gone a long way and would have demonstrated respect for my time. On a positive note, Verette Construction does offer a veteran discount. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much if they can't consistently show up for scheduled appointments or communicate with their customers. I've decided to try Badger Basement Systems instead and hope the experience is more professional.
