This particular store is in the Hempfield Plaza shopping center. I shopped at this store one time. I saw merchandise for Pittsburgh teams such as the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates and for other local teams such as the Pittsburgh Panthers and Penn State Nittany Lions. I also saw some general Pittsburgh-themed products. Most merchandise was clothing such as jerseys and t-shirts. I deducted one star from my review because prices were moderate to high. For example, a playoff-participant t-shirt for the Pittsburgh Penguins cost $65 (five days before they were eliminated from the playoffs), and a general Pittsburgh sweatshirt cost $73.

My teenage son recently visited the store on his own, excited to ask questions and learn more about motorcycles. Instead of being welcomed or supported, he was laughed at by the staff and told to "do his homework." This kind of dismissive, condescending behavior toward a young person is unacceptable. He left feeling embarrassed and discouraged, which is the opposite of how any potential rider or customer should feel walking into your business. What made the situation worse was how my concern was handled when I called to follow up. Rather than showing any understanding or accountability, the staff brushed it off, claiming my son had "taken it out of context." It felt like his age and inexperience were used as an excuse to ignore the issue entirely. The staff chose to deflect blame onto a teenager--further minimizing a valid concern. It's incredibly disappointing to see such a stark difference in treatment simply because he came in alone. Whether it was because of his age or something else, the message was clear: he wasn't taken seriously. That kind of attitude doesn't just hurt your reputation--it alienates the next generation of riders. We'll be taking our business elsewhere from now on, and I would caution other families to think twice before supporting a place that doesn't treat all customers--regardless of age--with basic respect. Do better!

The teas are themed around fun topics, seasons or holidays. I've been coming here for years with my Mom and her friends and have had the pleasure of attending a few of the Christmas and Mother's Day teas. During the events you enjoy a full afternoon tea at a beautiful table setting. This means attendees get to enjoy a continuous serving of a few flavors of hot tea, paired with a few courses of food. There's a starter, followed by a tiered tea tray with scones & frosted grapes, classic tiny tea sandwiches, and baked goods. The tiers are consistent, but each event has unique seasonal flavor features. The most recent tea I attended was a special treat to celebrate this past Mother's Day. The tea options were raspberry peach, raspberry apricot and a Darjeeling, the "champagne of teas." The courses started with a cheesy potato bacon soup. It was flavorful and delivered in just a big enough serving to not feel overly indulgent. The starter was followed by the three-tiered plate, dressed in beautiful flowers. The scone featured a raspberry jam center. The tea sandwiches were really well done with delicious savory fillings. The ham sandwich was highlighted with a champagne mustard, the egg salad was spiced with curry and the chicken salad had added flavor with almonds. The top tier had a few tempting baked treats including a delicious pineapple coconut cookies. The tea ended with a cupcake and a gift of flowers in a vase. In addition to serving tea in a beautiful parlor area the space, the Victorian Lady is also a gift shop, with goods on display throughout the various rooms of the Victorian house. All kinds of beautiful tea-themed and Victorian-inspired items are available for purchase, like teacups, food items, jewelry, stationery, and home decor items. You enter a door labeled bar and then need to press a buzzer to be allowed inside. You do in fact pass through a members-only bar. When my family visited, there were a few patrons inside and all were very friendly. The bartender runs the store and she was also very pleasant. The store is just one room in the back of the bar with a great atmosphere of small town novelty Roadside Attraction type vibe. Lots of items we're available. Most were attraction-specific, and some were General gifts/ novelties. We visited on a random day (not during the festival) and enjoyed the stop. We might not have even known it was there except when we were visiting the acorn replica and reading the sign, a man, perhaps another bartender or staff member or volunteer firefighter, let us know the store would be opening soon. So we had to stop in to see it! Ended up getting some fun souvenirs and a book to read on our ride to the next destination
