So here's the deal. I'd really like to know why one of the reviewers is saying that $1000 was stolen from him. Did Richard literally steal money from you, or do you feel robbed because you're unhappy with the service? I was very concerned when I read these reviews, but since it is very difficult to get services in my rural location, I gave them a try. We scheduled a Saturday to move, and then I called the owner, Richard, and needed to bump the date back one week. He gladly obliged, but also notified me that I would be his second job of the day, so it wouldn't be till later. His move before me took more time than anticipated and he was going to show up late and still complete the work. I asked him if he would do it the next day, a sunday, and he said absolutley. He showed up with four men, plus himself and had a house for a family of five moved for a very reasonable price, in three hours, and at my request, he stayed until the job was complete. Realistic expectations everyone. My home was new construction and the only viable way in was up a stairwell with a 30" door because our decking was not complete. They were concerned about scratching the paint. I told them that I would touch it up later and to do what was necessary. Sofa would not fit up stairwell. They walked 30 yds through knee deep snow to another exterior door, with a sofa. Very careful with my furniture. Thought I lost hardware, texted Richard after move and he told me exactly where it was. These guys are movers, so don't expect refined gentlemen in suits and ties, with exotic accents who drink tea with raised pinkies. They want to make efficient use of their time and keep the customer happy, as long as your expectations are realistic and you're reasonable with them. Would definately hire them back. Very tough move and they got it done. Thanks Richard, Brian, Josh, Billy, George! read more
