The delivered granite with the edges unfinished and got very angry when I said this wasn't OK. They…read moresaid they had 25 years of contracting experience and that's how it was. The problem with this is some of the edges on the things delivered earlier were perfect and a professional granite repair company said of course the edges should be finished. They stopped coming on a regular basis after four weeks and turned a four to six week job into over a three month job. They didn't provide the help moving things they promised , didn't cover the furniture as promised. They didn't stick to the plan that was supposed to make it so I could live there while they worked and got angry with me when I mentioned that. They tried to do as little as possible and call it done and wanted to gaslight me into believing I was being unreasonable by expecting what was promised. One cabinet had a screw half screwed in and the cabinet holding up the microwave only has two of the four screws it's supposed to have holding it up. They left a shelf hanging in the linen closet and holes in the walls. The shelf in the bathroom was put on with two sided tape, not what I was told, and has already fallen off the wall. They claimed all the broken tile came that way but didn't keep any of it so i could return it. The last day they offered to bring half a box back for me and never did. I paid for the grout but miraculously I used exactly what was bought so there was none left over. They left no tough up paint and left without giving me any information on the paint or grout used so I could get more since there are many places that need touch up. They use a cart of mine without asking me and when I mentioned it the main helper said that if I wanted to be a prick the could be pricks too. It was so destroyed that they offered to replace the wheels on it. I picked it up the other day and the wheel fell off. They didn't clean as promised and left a mess in the garage and on my balcony. Don't use these guys!!!

We went over the work that needed to be done and he commenced work. A while later I needed to leave to run an errand (my wife was home though). When I got back, Cody's truck was gone, there were a lot of cut sheets of tile, but nothing on the wall and no Cody. I found a message from him on Yelp asking me to call him, which I did. It turns out he has "lost confidence" and abandoned the job. He said he tried to tell my wife before leaving, but she was unaware of this. When I spoke to Cody on the phone he indicated that I didn't owe him anything, and did offer to put me in touch with someone he felt could do the job. I didn't go with his recommendation mainly because I didn't have enough trust in him to make that choice. The guy I did hire was able to reuse some of the cut tile Code had left, but we needed to buy 5 more sheets nevertheless. There may be lots of things Cody is good at, but tiling a backsplash with herringbone tile sheets is not one of them, and abandoning a job is just not OK.

Joseph Stevens and Sons did an excellent job restoring 2 rooms to perfect condition following a…read moreleak!  Owners Vincent and Anthony showed up at the designated time to assess the situation and scheduled the job a few days later.  Their team was professional, efficient, and immaculate (they placed a protective covering on the floors and completely cleaned up everything)!  The work included ensuring there was no mold in the walls, replacing drywall and baseboards, and texturizing/painting the new materials. They completely matched the orange peel texture on the existing drywall and there's no evidence that the walls/baseboards had been repaired/replaced!  The cost seemed fair and reasonable (I didn't get multiple quotes because after meeting Vincent and Anthony, I knew they'd handle the job with care).
