We recently turned a wooden deck into a Trex Enhanced deck and just like that, improved the look,…read morevalue and functionality of our home and outdoor space. Everyone knows, no maintenance vs staining every year is a no brainer BUT since our deck was finished, I can't count how many times I've looked out at it - thinking how gorgeous it looks and "oh by the way, it's always going to look like this"!!! The product we picked was extensively researched and compared to various levels of Trex as well as other top brands - they have all come a long way since composite hit the market back in the 90's. We're happy with Trex Enhanced, the warranty and most importantly the end result. Now, let me speak to the contractor and his entire crew. Like most people, we obtained three estimates for this project - two from well-known deck/fence companies and one from Goetz Contracting. Although we typically lean toward hiring small businesses for projects, finding the right one that you can trust with your project and your money can be a challenge. Michael Goetz was the third estimate we received but we had a good feeling about him immediately. We talked with him over the next few weeks, made the decision to go with Goetz Contracting and got on his calendar for October; he said the project would take about 2 weeks. The crew showed up October 3rd and the project took exactly 2 weeks and 2 days. They were here all day, every day and very serious about making our deck everything we wanted it to be. They are all knowledgeable, kind, respectful and extremely good at what they do, doing it all with such precision and accuracy and cleaning it all up at the end of each day. In the process, they removed and re-attached our umbrellas, all the plant hooks, carried our heavy tables off and back onto the deck, tweaked some things I changed my mind about, and did everything possible to make us happy. I cannot say enough about this company, the entire crew, and have forwarded their link to three friends/family - so far. If you need deck work, this is the company you want to hire. You will not be disappointed and you will love your new deck - Michael and his crew will make sure of that.

We found a home in the right area but it desperately needed some updating. A business associate recommended Gary at Innovative and gave me his number. Gary came out to our house and met with us and took measurements. He told us he would have the design work done and would call us. I never expected the custom drawings he returned with. They were impressive on their own. With all the technology I found this refreshing and impressive. He was actually early with our master vanity which made my wife ecstatic she could get 'moved in'. We changed a lot of things as we started the kitchen and Gary stayed right with us. He even met with us when we went to pick granite and tile to help us know what would look right and hold up. Great customer service. We appreciated the extra steps he took to help. Our other contractor had delays so we backed up our kitchen but Gary was on time. I can't tell you how much we love all he did. We got all the organization we wanted with the look we were hoping. We love the lighting suggestion it added so much and all the trim work and details that made it all look so finished. The color was exactly what we had in mind and the quality is impressive. It all came together so nicely. I would definitely hand his card out to my clients and associates and appreciate the referral to find him.

Our back deck had been a disaster since we moved into our house. It was a previous homeowner DIY…read moreproject that was used with incorrect materials, and because of this it was causing the deck to sag in multiple locations. It also did not have any steps for access to the backyard. We spent a year and a half contacting contractor after contractor, no one wanted to help us get our deck up to par. Not one person that came out to look at the deck would give us an estimate on what it would take to fix the deck. Some told us they would only give us pricing for a new deck, others just ghosted us all together. Enter Mark Skerlec. Mark listened to our needs and then gave us a variety of options that could rectify the issues with the deck. After making our final decisions Mark quickly scheduled a date to begin his work. He was clean, he was quick, and he did incredible work. Our deck no longer sags. It no longer bounces when you walk on it. I also finally have direct access to the backyard. The most amazing part is Mark was able to take the time to match up the parts he used with the current design of the deck. Looking at it you would never know that it was once a monstrous atrocity. It is one complete, beautiful unit. It looks great. And I couldn't be any happier. Next time I need work done, interior or exterior, there won't even be multiple calls. Mark Skerlec is the only contractor I will use.
