    A late review for 2019 work, as we just found our notes on this…read more Our 3x toilets had been backing up for several months despite our efforts to plunge and auger them. We called and scheduled Ubdegrove a week or so later. The plumber spent under 15 min from arrival to departure (verified/timed by security cameras) and said there was nothing wrong. That costed around $120. The next day the toilets were still slow. Called them back again, and they promised to come out a few days later. My wife took the day off work, and they never showed. Other calls to them resulted in appointments several weeks out, demands for more money (it is a new appointment), etc. With toilets still backing up, we decided to call the city assuming it was their side of the line. The city used a borescope and (verified by the photos/distance log) proved the problem was a large clog on our side of the line. After more money to have the city clean it out (already on site with the sewers exposed, and not expecting much from Ubdegrove at this point), the toilets worked great. Initially Ubdegrove said they would refund the money, but over the next several weeks, all we received was run-around and denials. Ultimately we moved away from Kingston without any refund. Be very careful if you hire these guys. While I expect most of their work may be good, in our case, they were poor performers at both the tradesmen and office level.

And the peace of mind I am good for a few more yrs.

    I debated on whether or not to respond to this business owner. Some of his statements are…read morecompletely false. I had absolutely no idea our unit wasn't purchased from his business, but on the "marketplace". I don't know what that is. I never once went to his home and picked up the unit. I signed a contract, we had a date for the install, he came on the date - bringing the unit with him, and installed it. We shut it down for the winter and when we started it back up the following spring, it would only blow out warm air. Jim did come down to our home in June of that year with a temporary fix. He had to order a part , said it would be in quickly, and would be back to fix it. We never heard back so I messaged him several times. I was told he was working on a huge job and couldn't get to it just then. I waited a while and messaged him again. I was then told his family had suffered the devastating effects from the hurricane last year and he was helping them. I still have the messages I replied to him with stating my concern for them and to take care of his family. This spring rolls along and I messaged and called him with no reply. It wasn't until I placed this negative review on yelp that he finally came and fixed it. At no cost. Of course it's at no cost. He told us last year it was covered under warranty. Would not recommend.
