I got wings and fries ($12) for myself. I got pizza empanadas for my sons. I also goy a kola champagne soda. This is a drink from Puerto Rico. After ordering, I was given a buzzer to be notified when it was ready. The staff person were very friendly. The buzzer went off at 5:23pm. The food was hot and fresh. However, the fries and chicken was unseasoned. Ketchup made the fries taste better. I had to eat the chicken how it was, lol. Overall, it was a good deal. My kids enjoyed their empanadas. The kola drink was interesting. It wasn't nasty but I can't say it'll be something I'd crave or be my first option. They are normally open Thursday-Saturday from 12pm-7pm at Compare Foods.

The name means "from the streets", referring to street food. I stopped recently when I saw the truck in the brewery lot, and since it was just at 11AM I ordered carne asada tacos. They were well topped with chopped white onion and cilantro. They were all flavored especially when a liberal dose of one of the house salsa and lime juice were added. This truck will not replace my favorite spot for tacos, Taqueria Los Juanes, but for a quick drive by, not bad!

The Chicharron Con Carne were individually huge, featuring a large amount of meat (pork belly) and fat attached to the pork skin. You buy them by the pound, so I ordered a pound and received 3 Chicharron and the cost was a little over $26! These were excellent, loaded with well cooked meat, streaks of fat, and crunchy pork skin. I will definitely get these bad boys again.

We tried everything available today. The jalapeño was the adult favorite and the kids loved the chicken which were the most delicious. The had two red sauces: one tangy like marinara and one spicy. Both were divine. The pineapple agua fresca was pineapple and it tasted fresh and refreshing. The chocolate covered strawberries were amazing. They did have food dye on them which was a surprise but it came off easily for families that don't do dye.

I can never get tacos anywhere else anymore. It has spoiled me. It is cheap, fast, and lots of variety and good quality. They do not skimp on vegetables and the meat. Their tacos come with a choice of meat (my personal favorite is lengua), the veggies (cilantro onion radishes lime which you can request to have on the side), salsa verde, and another spicy salsa. The meat is always tender and flavorful, the tortillas taste fresh and not stale. They have added quite a few items to their menu, such as the ubiquitous tacos de birria among others. The birria tacos come with cheese (they do not have dairy in their other tacos) and a wonderful consommé full of flavor and spices that you can either slather your tacos on or dip your taco in. While the amount of authentic Mexican restaurants can be overwhelming in Waughtown - this can be a good way to get your taco fix in quickly during the pandemic with no wait time or lines.

Ordering can be a problem - depending on who is taking your order, there can definitely be a language issue and there are no labels on the glass in front of the various dishes. I'm usually able to deal with the language problems but there are dishes here I'm simply not familiar with! I ordered the Barbacoa Plate, and my order was quickly filled, I headed to the register and was soon on my way. The packaging is not necessarily adequate to transport the meal without some spillage in liquid form ( especially from the bean side dish), so be watchful - I'll visit the cleaners tomorrow for sure! The Barbacoa was plentiful, fork tender and delicious - the best such dish I can remember having. Often this item had either tasted sweet or had spices I didn't care for - not so here. The rice was tastier than what you get in most takeout spots. The beans were not of the refried style, but rather whole beans with a goodly amount of heat arising from the use of fresh, house made chorizo in the mixture - mixed nicely with the rice. You also get a full package of freshly made in-house tortillas, about a dozen or so! The Verde Sauce and the red pepper sauce were excellent as well. A lot of very good food for $13! I will revisit soon, there are other items to be tried - Braised Goat (Chivo), Res Stew (Beef),house made Tamales, and more.
