Good combination with the mashed potatoes. Although it would've been better with their take on risotto where they crisped the outsides where it was like a giant hash brown. Inside of it was perfectly moist with the crunch on the outside. Been thinking about this everyday since I left. The lady that was our server was very sweet and straight to the point. Checked on us and made sure everything was going good! Definitely recommend after toro verde!

The parking lot outside was full, but there was more parking around the restaurant as the lunch crowd was leaving. It's alfresco dining inside and out on the balcony as their large windows are open to the mountain air. The food is a mix of local, pizza and pasta. Our food was excellent but took a long time to come out. Our server was very good - when he was around. I would say their kitchen is slow. There is a large drink menu and you can also sit at the bar. They have a pizza oven. I would probably not come out of San Juan to eat here, unless you are already passing through the Cayey area. The road to get here is windy and I would not want to drive around after dark. All in all, I would give 5 stars if the food had not been so slow. The best frame of mind is you are here to chill and lounge.

The owner and his family run the place, and they personally came by multiple times to check on us. While we stopped here to eat, we had some issues come up with the hotel we were supposed to stay at that night, and the owner without hesitation said he could reach out to some of his colleagues to see if they had an open airbnb for us. It was incredibly kind and generous, and while we thankfully didn't need to take him up on his offer, the thought meant everything!
