Having living in California and been to many renown sushi restaurants around the world, I was surprised by the sushi here.
The sushi leans toward more sweetness than others, it's a little bit moist as well. However, they did a great job with the sushi rice. Some may prefer more vinegar then sweet but to me, it tastes great.
The ingredients are very fresh, the unagi was really good. I think it has to do with it's farm raised in Spain compared to those in USA and many Asian countries (besides Japan and may even some Japanese sushi places) uses Chinese or Vietnamese farm raised. You can tell the difference from those with this Spain raised ones. The Japanese one is probably one of the best.
As for the other fishes are all from Europe. Fresh and taste really good. The octopus was fresh as expected and the tuna and shrimp was excellent.
The only one I'm not sure was one of the roll which has ginger in it. It overwhelmed all the other flavors (that's why I forgot what it was). However, it could be a local favorite since different region loves different combinations.
The owner is an Argentina couple. However, they have excellent artistic taste of Japanese decor. Impressive bansai tree in front of the backlit mirror, it's like a Japanese kamon. Very tasteful decoration. read more
