On January 23rd 1:30pm I received a call from Shelley Fairhurst, Director of Residential…read moreManagement, regarding my unpaid application fee. I explained I was a Bitcoin trader and I was concerned that they wouldn't rent the property to me because of my job. She worried it wasn't liquid, I briefly told her how I can sell it at anytime which means it is liquid. After a few more personal questions and friendly discussion she then assured me that they would work with me and she would go to the CEO personally...but first, I must pay the application fee. So I coughed up the $25 and reapplied providing proof of income (wealth) via Coinbase, and Bank statements. On January 24th 3:30pm, Shelley rang again and informed me that unfortunately there was another applicant and my credit wasn't good enough. I told her my credit score is 811. She then claimed that the other applicant had a higher income, I was confident and assured her I could beat his income by providing more documentation. Then the excuse shifted to the fact that they had already started paperwork with this older man. This property has a sexy view so I countered by offering to pay an additional $100 per month in rent and she STILL told me "No, I'm sorry, we are going to go with the older gentleman." I called and left a message with Jamie Daniels-Pollem, Chief Operating Officer, prior to making this post. I received no response. This is what happened to me when applying for the property on Wilsey Way in Poway, CA. Not cool. I'm trying out this new therapeutic technique were I speak about the things that happened to me. To be honest, writing this has felt great.

Awesome awesome awesome awesome! Gabe and his team get 5 stars from me. My husband and I just…read morebought our second home and used Gabe as our broker for both of them. Our latest purchase was a very difficult one to buy, as we bought a house that was for sale by owner. Anyone who has ever purchased a house from a owner who is not using an agent knows just how difficult and frustrating a process it can be. However, it was an enjoyable and exciting process for us because Gabe successfully navigated us through the whole sales process with the seller and took it upon himself to handle all of the things that normally the sellers agent would be handling, which he did not have to do. Gabe's negotiating skills amazed me. With every hurdle and every obstacle that we encountered, Gabe knew exactly what to do, what to say and how to say it. I strongly believe that if we had had a different broker we would still be working on closing the deal. We closed escrow in 30 days! From a "For sale by owner"! That is unheard of. Needless to say, we are thrilled with Gabe's performance and dedication that he showed to us. He was always early to all of our appointments and went above and beyond when it came to customer service. We will never use anyone else. He provides platinum service and most importantly he gets it done. Thank you Filkey, Hyatt and Associates.

I am a first time home buyer who purchased a home listed by Gabe. The realtor in charge of the…read morelisting was named Ronny. Only after putting in an offer on the house were we told that it was being sold as is. I understand that means seller isn't going to do any work but that doesn't mean we can't try and have them do work. Ronny requested a 7 day inspection contingency. As soon as the 7 days started we lost all contact with Ronny. It seems weird to me that they requested the 7 day contingency and then would not work with us on anything in those 7 days. Further throughout the process Ronny continued to submit documents with our names spelled wrong and submitted documents late. We negotiated the seller to do some basic repairs. Example the stove, washing machine and dryer and fridge and some cabinets had been removed to fix a leak in the kitchen. The seller was to put them back in place and plug in. Whoever Gabe had working on the house decided it was a good idea to drag all the appliances across the wood floors when putting them back leaving big scratches. I dropped by the house to check on it and the person working on it said he worked for Gabe. The craftsmanship of the work they did was so sub par that we didn't want them even working on the house anymore. They were making the house worse every time they tried to fix something. Throughout the entire process it was like pulling teeth to get a hold of Ronny or Gabe. You think someone that is trying to sell a house would communicate with the buyers realtor. On the day we closed we got to the house and could not find the keys. They were not in the lock box. We got a hold of Ronny and he told us that earlier that day he put them under a rock by the door because the lock box was being picked up. Glad to know the house I just bought had the keys just sitting by the door all day with no notification from the listing agent. Finally we requested Gabe to remove the lock box on our front door for two weeks after we closed. Finally after 3 weeks of owning the home he sent someone out to cut them off. I have never encountered a more unprofessional company then this one. The only reason we put up with this horrible service is because we wanted the house. I would not suggest listing our buying a home from Gabe.
