This is a very nice place with great atmosphere and good music. The music at first made it seem out of place but does change the mood and allows you to get into a more chill vibe and party at same time. The decorations and even the plating were well thought of and they pay attention to small details. The cocktails were different and delicious. Each one tasted great and were nicely done with balance of alcohol and taste. The appetizer was good but I did think the guacamole could use a tiny bit or tiny pinch of salt. The pork belly in the guacamole was nicely done with the skin being crunchy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The enchiladas were very delicious. The plating was beautifully done and the smoked grilled chicken gave it a nice subtle difference in taste than your normal enchiladas. The enmoladas were fantastic! Really loved the flavor of the mole with chicken. The poblano Mac was very tasty and balanced with a cheesy and spiciness that came after. The waitress was very attentive and helpful when we asked many questions about the drinks and menu. I recommend getting the smoked Oaxaca old fashioned for 3 reasons. 1 it is a great drink, 2 the way they present it is worth ordering one, 3 it's a really great drink ! Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while! The Tuna Roll was fresh and full of flavor, the Ribeye Burger was cooked perfectly and so juicy, and the Espresso Martini was the perfect finishing touch--smooth and delicious. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. I'm sorry. By the time you're done reading this review you will think of me as another complaining customer. Been here more than twice just to be more and more disappointed. I'll summarize, oyster were dead, dry and sticky. Asada tacos, the tortillas were heated in a microwave and were served with out a plate and the meat was tough. The esquites had a bug in it. More than once has my food been served cold and I have sent it back for them to warm it up just for them to bring it back at the same temperature. it's sad because the place and the menu has so much potential but it misses the mark. The atmosphere is amazing - absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The food is high quality and huge portions - well worth the price on the menu. Service is above and beyond anything you might expect. It's in my neighborhood so we finally tried it out. It's not your typical Americanized Mexican place, it seems to lean towards more authentic flavors. Very upscale bistro style food. If you are vegan, it's not for you at all (don't be fooled by the sweetbread, it's not really sweet bread. Sweetbread is organ meat). A vegetarian who eats dairy will find something, most of the food is organ meat, goat, pork belly, rib eye, beef and chicken. They spent more money on the decorations inside than they did trying to make the food taste good. She finally came back with the water, and then took our drink orders, then FINALLY came back and took our orders for appetizers (she could not explain any of the specials or give us clarifications about the menu since she had limited English. Finally got to eat after ordering lunch, and additional 45 min wait), the food was subpar. Service was awful. Waitress did not speak a lick of English. Then, we ordered a bottle of wine to split, yet we were charged for 5 glasses. Disputed this with the non-speaking English server's trainer, still charged per glass. Will never go back again. Could have and would have spread a positive on this establishment, but when everything was negative... ‍ My bill alone was $75 and I ate the "kids meal", seriously WTH(?)!!!
