They do a great job of spacing out customers so that nobody is seated on top of one another .... staying COVID safe. Wait staff all wore masks and were exceptionally friendly. Seated in the back room area, our server had chips and salsa out to us quickly and took our drink orders while we looked over the expansive menu. At first, when the salsa was delivered, I was a little disappointed. It looked exceptionally watered down and I wasn't overly thrilled. Tasting it, out of the gate, I thought - 'it's ok'. But I found myself continually dipping chips and eating it until it was gone and asked for more. Safe to say, it grew on me. My wife went with a hollowed out pineapple concoction for her entre. It literally had all sorts of stuff crammed inside. It was really good! I went a little more traditional and gave the taquitos a try. This is probably about as close to home made that my mom would make when I was a kid as I've ever experienced in a restaurant. You can probably guess I'm giving them a good rating for that. As I said before, staff were really friendly and attentive the whole time we were there. Restaurant is really nice and clean. We look forward to going back, there are several menu items that have our names on them that we need to try.

People that came in after us, ordered their food, still no one stopped at our table. We didn't have chips but had drinks. There were at least 6 empty tables. No large groups. After 20 mins we left, asked what we owed for drinks and he said dong worry about it. Didn't even try to correct the situation. We will not return.

But the cheese and sour crème served with the Chimmi is quite good and it's a filling and tasty meal. The Mexican rice and refried beans mix nicely with the Chimmi. I'm often there after attending a sporting event at Jacksonville State, and if you are doing the same this is a great stop before you head home.
