It is your quintessential barber shop: a TV playing ESPN, automotive and hunting magazines to read, the local newspapers, and always interesting discussion topics. There are only two barbers--Helmut and his son Blair--so at times (weekend mornings) it can get backed up, but if you can squeeze in a visit on a weekday afternoon, you'll likely be in a chair very quickly. But really, even a longer wait is never too bad because Schilling's is just a very laid back and relaxing place. Grab something to read or chat with any of the other people in the shop and time will fly. If you're wondering about the wait, call them and they'll give you an honest answer as to how long it might be. I've been a loyal patron here since I was just a wee tyke. Even now, living in Washington, or during my time in other cities, if I knew I'd be going home soon, I'd put off getting my hair cut so I could stop by Schilling's. They know how to cut my hair just the way I like it, they're quick and very friendly, the price is right (I think $13 for a regular cut), and there's just something really comforting about going to Schilling's. I hope that when all I have left is 20 wistful strands of silver hair, I will still be able to get each one of them trimmed at Schilling's. A little background…read more I have had been going to the same barber/stylist shop for more than 40 years (since I was a teenager). Over that time, two of the guys have cut my hair. Recently my guy, that has been cutting my hair for the last 15 years, has had some back problems and has reduced his hours, so I needed to find a new shop. Did a local search and came across Distinguished Image and read some of the reviews, and decided to give Christine and her shop a try. It was also a benefit because she is much closer to home (Hatfield) vs me driving 40 minutes to King of Prussia every 4 weeks. Very simply, I am extremely pleased with the cut I got yesterday. I waited till this morning to post my review, just to see how I felt a day later. Christine listened to my concerns (about changing "barbers") and did a great job not just cutting my hair but also in making me feel comfortable and confident with her work. Also, the price is very fair and she was able to get me in with just a days notice. If you are looking for a new shop, for whatever reason, do your self a favor and get to Distinguished Image. Thanks Christine, I think the change will be permanent.

I knew this location was here for a year now but I finally was able to stop in today to get my haircut. I have to say I enjoyed everything about the visit! Setting up my appointment was easy and convenient on the website, the barbers were friendly, plenty of chairs to wait in, not long of a wait, and my barber Mikey was awesome! He did a great job and the rates were pretty great too. I am happy with my cut and I will be sure to return again especially since it is right down the street!
