Amish Country at its best!…read more This is a gem of a restaurant. We found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. We were not familiar with Baltic, Ohio, yet we were so happy we found this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were eating in someone's home. Christian, the manager, could have not done anything more to accommodate us. He really went out of his way to enhance our experience. Our waitress, Arlene, had told us she had been there for several years and you could really tell this by her ability to help us through the menu. She wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. The menu was one like I had never seen before. Everything from a large breakfast selection to Wagyu and Prime steaks. I had the best Ruben sandwich I had ever eaten ( that is saying a lot). We also shared the Wagyu filet with hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. The steak was sautéed with fresh mushrooms and onions. The steak was seasoned to absolute perfection. You have to try this. I have posted pictures of the menu. Don't forget a side order of homemade mac & cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The decor is perfect. Simple yet very pretty. They even have a nice area (living room style) that we hung out in until our table was ready. This Amish restaurant is the "best of the best". I will be back in this area next year and will be sure to make this my go to restaurant. Bravo to the staff and chef, well done.

Frankly, I didn't hate or love it. I just don't see a reason to make a trip there other than a…read morelack of competition. Food = Jalapeño popper dip was good. Pork chop was cooked alright, but definitely needed a sauce to add some flavor as it was bland. Coconut mango rice was sad (my wife is filipino so she knows a bit about rice, mangoes, and coconut). I had the reuben and it was alright. I don't understand why all the steaks and fish are "market price" on the menu. This is not a fancier restaurant that serves wagyu, why can you not figure out how to price half of your meats? Service = Good with no problems. Restaurant = Stylish, Spacious, and Clean.

Olde Towne Tavern is where you can find some of the best food from the nicest people!…read more The food is divine and the cocktails are always made to perfection. On my most recent visit I ordered the beer battered fish and chips. The serving size was excellent and the sandwich was phenomenal. My mother ordered the meatball splash, which is her usual. We decided to treat ourselves with the brownie for dessert. It was a struggle to hold back from licking the plate! This location used to be the Canal House which was extremely popular back in the day for their drinks and live music. OTT does an excellent job of preserving the atmosphere that means so much to the community while creating something new for people to enjoy. They've even adopted the Tusky Tingler, an original drink of the Canal House (beware if you order a pitcher though: it's delicious but can knock you out!)

We took a chance today with the Olde Towne Tavern- and we were not disappointed! First of all, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. My husband & I both had the surf & turf kabob special. We chose Mac/Cheese as one of our sides- it was so huge we wound up taking it home! Zariah was our bartender/server. We really enjoyed chatting with her & the rest of the very friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

We entered on a Wednesday evening around 8pm, (they close @ 9) The place was Dead, we were the Only customers at the time. Greetings from the staff were very cordial & inviting. We chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was on-it & offered us menus. We ended up ordering a bottle of Chardonnay (of which) tasted much "sweeter" than a Chardonnay should! (in our opinion of course). We looked over the menu & settled on a flatbread Margherita pizza & another "spicy" flatbread pizza. My flatbread was very good, Full of Cheese & cooked nicely. The Margarita Pizza, However ~ Was VERY Disappointing! I can't believe it, but they used a bottle of Dried Basil herb on the pizza!!!! DRIED BASIL??? Here we are in "God's" Country, Farmer's Gardens where Basil grows almost as a WEED!! Basil IS THE easiest herb to grow, but they chose to USE a dried, Walmart, canned Basil!! Are you F'ing kidding me??? Basil grows Damn Near Wild & almost out of control because it's So hearty! Yet they CHOOSE Canned, Dried - Basil? TOTALLY Disappointing! Don't Waste your time ~ it's QUITE Evident they have no actual "Chef", No clue, nor a Cook that has any idea on what's going on in a kitchen ! Avoid this place!!! I'd choose McDonald's over them !!!
