My wife and I shared a large seafood pizza (which was more than plenty for the two of us) and our teenagers had pasta. Both who are fairly picky eaters rated the both the flavour and serving size. One thing to consider if you are hoping for a 'quiet' dinner is that the tile floor and lack of sound deadening means carrying on a conversation when the restaurant is full is very difficult as there is a lot of noise. But if you are looking for some good pizza, pasta, wine then definitely give this great little place a shot. As previously stated, this was not our first visit and am sure it will not be the last.

As far as the food goes, I tried the salami plate, which I'd say comes second only to one I was served in Florence, Italy. I don't know if Locale sources their meat from overseas, but from the quality I'd be inclined to think that they might. I also had their mushroom pizza, which was very good. The mushrooms on it were quite fresh and full of flavor, and the crust came close to some of the best I've been able to find locally. My only complaint about the pizza would be white sauce/base which there wasn't much of, resulting in a slightly dry pizza. In terms of flavor, I think a fresh tomato/red sauce might have better complemented the fresh mushrooms. Still, it was a very enjoyable pizza. And then dessert was a tiramisu off of their specials menu, made with beer instead of/in addition to (I forget which) coffee. To be honest I don't think the beer really added anything to the dish, and would have been entirely happy without it. But it was an excellent tiramisu regardless, so no harm no foul. Prices are entirely average for the area. Which, being Noosa, means pretty damn spendy. We spent about $90 on a starter, main, dessert, and a couple of drinks. But the quality of the food is enough that I feel the prices are reasonable, if only just.

I saw every staff member in the place walk right past, not one acknowledging our presence. After ten minutes, the woman behind the counter had finally dealt with the outgoing table. Finally. She must be the only one who actually deals with customers. She walked up and then... turned left and started cleaning the table of the people who had just left. There wasn't anyone waiting for a table, everyone else had food, and we had had absolutely no interaction with a member of staff since sitting down. Another five minutes pass.
