Three of us ordered some version of a BLT and it was sooo delicious! My son ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and he loved it. Now, the negative, they've ruined all other BLTs for me. The amount of bacon they used, took this very basic American staple, and shot it through the roof. I felt like a queen eating this sandwich. My husband and kids all got delicious smoothies too. The restaurant feels like a country hole in the wall and I LOVED IT. I would absolutely make this a regular stop on my crossing country journeys.

Daughter loved the fried catfish, my friend green tomato BLT with avocado was delicious and the salad way very vinegar forward, which is how I like it. Be prepared though. There is no AC. I want to preface my statements by saying that I have never been a big chicken‑tenders person. But when I bit into a Magoo's chicken tender, I truly thought I had died and gone to Chicken Tender Heaven. It was that good. I wasn't expecting much because my family had visited a number of times, and they had pumped it up so much that I wondered whether Magoo's could live up to expectations. But I have to say that Magoo's more than lived up to expectations. Run, don't walk, to Magoo's. I am now praying for a franchise to come to the Memphis area.

We decided to try Huey Magoo's, the building looked clean and fresh. The staff was friendly and service was fast, but that is about the only positives I can give. The bread is small and just terrible. My kid said it best... looks like fake bread and was chewing air. The chicken strips are unevenly cooked. Some were just burned to a crisp. The fries are terrible. Tasted like pure potatoes, but uncooked potatoes. The sauce is way too thick and does not have a good flavor. The sauce had an underlying pickle flavor, which in my opinion does not go well with the meal. We ordered a 4 pc and an 8pc meal and it was $36. An absolute rip off!! I don't think I've been disappointed in a meal like this in quite some time.

When we walked in there were only a few customers in the lobby, but one gentleman was sitting and eating a sandwich that looked so appetizing, I interrupted him ,mid-bite, to ask what it was. He happily told me it was the.Memphian. Roasted turkey, Black Forest ham and Black Angus roast beef, provolone, spring mix, tomato, mayo and spicy brown mustard on a baguette. Yep! I'm sold! One 12", substitute extra turkey for the ham. I wasn't happy about the up-charge for the substitution but I sucked it up. Add a side of Mac and cheese and a lemonade tea and I was good to go. The sandwich was surprisingly good! Lots of meat! The other ingredients were proportioned well and the bread had just the right amount of softness to give a little but not so much to fall apart while you're holding it. The tea was also good. Not overly sweet and just the right balance of lemonade and tea. The Mac and cheese was another story. It was just flavorless mush. I sent it back and replaced with potato salad, which was really good. Did I mention the sandwich was huge?? I was completely stuffed after finishing all of that. It's a good thing I ate the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie before the sandwich arrived or I wouldn't have been able to finish it. It too, was really good. Life is short. Eat dessert first!
