As a huge fan of all things nostalgia, nothing takes me back quite like the classic Pizza Hut…read moreexperience--dimly lit dining rooms, those iconic red-checkered glass lamps, Book It! personal pan pizzas, and of course, the legendary buffet. Growing up, I have the best memories of begging my mom for a few quarters to play the arcade games or snag a sticker from the vending machine while waiting for our pizza. So, imagine my excitement when I drove through Waycross, Georgia, and saw a sign advertising something that's become nearly impossible to find these days--a Pizza Hut buffet! I didn't hesitate for a second. Walking in, I was immediately transported back in time. The interior had that familiar, slightly dated charm that made me love Pizza Hut as a kid. And right in the center of the room? Two glorious buffet stations--one with a fully stocked salad bar, and the other loaded with all the Pizza Hut classics: hot, fresh pizza, pasta, breadsticks, and those addicting cinnamon sticks. I don't usually go for buffets, but this was an exception worth making. The kitchen staff did a fantastic job keeping everything fresh and well-stocked, constantly rotating out new pizzas so there was always something hot and delicious to grab. This little town is so lucky to still have a Pizza Hut buffet--something that's nearly extinct across the country. If you're anywhere near Waycross and craving a taste of childhood, do yourself a favor and stop in. It's more than just a meal--it's a trip down memory lane.
