I left my honest review of H&H recycling before but the person responding to it owner didn't like…read moreit on Google review so he deleted it. So here it is again. The facility is quite dirty to say the very least, they're very lazy when it comes to cleaning up their driveways parking lots, if you're lucky not to get any screws or roofing nails in your tire you're surely might get some in their parking lot when you go get your cash. They have different prices for different people, for us regular folks that take the time to take out the screws to try to get a better price, (by taking tin off the sides of copper reefers, etc, cut the rubber off the electrical wire. They have what is called preferred customers, who get a better pay, Which really doesn't make sense if one thinks about it, H&H workers have to clean the metal still, by cutting it to size, cut the tin off the sides of the reefers, time is spent taking the rubber off electrical cords, etc And these preferred customers who are getting top pay, don't have to do any of that by getting all the screws out, cut the metals off the sides of the copper reefers, etc still get more cash than the regular folks who are doing it right, we're the real scrapers. As the owner pointed out in his response to my original review, we're not forced to sell our metal to them, and he denies the special treatment given that these preferred customers I spoke of and said it is only to those that bring in 500 plus weight, that might get better rates than the rest that day. If you complain you are branded as a disgruntled customer, this multi-million dollar business should at the very least purchase some push brooms and clean up their parking lot with all the screws and roofing nails that is laying around. But I guess the owner is enjoying his cool AC in his office crunching the numbers, servicing the preferred customers he has. My wife and I have been going to H&H for 5 years, and since we don't go every single day we're not preferred customers, they do have better pay than the other recycling facilities in Corpus, but they lack the ability to clean their driveways and parking lots, (they're not held responsible for any type of damages by loading or unloading, they're not going to pay for any flat tires that you get on their property, their snooty attitude shows, just like the guy responding back to my original review on Google should reflect on the type of people they really are, and since he didn't like the review he just deleted it. Giving a honest review of their facilities hurts more when it's the God's honest truth, and that's why he deleted my Google review.

I'm upset that Republic Services is the only trash hauler in town in Rockport. It's not that there…read morearen't other trash haulers in the immediate area, it's just that Republic has been deemed the only legally allowable trash hauler in town. I legally can't have anyone else show up and offer to haul away my trash for a lower price. My trash hauling bill is obscene- ridiculously high. I've called the other trash haulers, and they say that they could save me thousands of dollars a year, if only they were allowed to do business in Rockport. So instead, Republic Services doesn't have any competition and can charge whatever they want. Don't like their service? Tough. As a positive, my dumpster was damaged in a storm a while back, and Republic Services replaced it without my even asking. The trash can is always empty, they come often enough where it's never overflowing.

Been a customer for 3 years. Not certain why but Republic Services servicing Rockport Texas has…read morebeen very poor. Example, my vacation home pays for weekly service even though we are not there all the time. I put our "blue" trash out on my curb last Wednesday for pick up Thursday. Returned to home Sunday trash can still full out on curb. I went to the on-line customer service and advised of missed service. My HOA called me Monday about why our can is still out, they checked it was still full. I called and was told "looks like your missed pickup is scheduled to be picked up later Monday if not Tuesday for sure.". Wednesday my neighbor went to check and my trash still full. (See attached picture) I again called today, Wednesday, and pointed out all that I was told. Representative told me my account is "green" current, it dose show my computer request as well as my Monday call. I said why is it that my neighbors are complaining too, when most are vacation homes so service usually light, shouldn't be a problem but clearly Republic Service in Corpus Christi servicing us in Rockport can not do the service I pay for? She said she understood my frustration and sent a message for a local supervisor to call me to discuss. I have not yet been called. Just sad Can not recommend using service. Just takes your money and service spotty. Fingers crossed I'm not fined by my HOA for Republics
