Definitely my go-to place to get lash extensions! It took me a while to write this review because I feel like you don't *know* a place is great for lash extensions until you go there a few times. For starters, their staff are incredibly kind and helpful in finding the best style to suit you. I started with a natural set and slowly transitioned into a hybrid set. They were also able to help me try out different styles (whisky cateye vs doll eye). The hybrid makes it look like I have eyeliner on by default, so getting ready in the morning is super quick. Never had any issues with my extensions, and typically go back after ~3/4 weeks. The time between each fill will vary depending on the person and their own lash cycle. They hold a deposit when you first book an appointment, but it also goes towards your payment :) ------ Parking: The street might be busy but if you take a turn a block or two beforehand, parking is ample. Wow. I just want to give a HUGE thanks to the lady that helped me out. She was so gentle and sweet. My lash extensions from another spot was irritating me. I've never had this issue before but I would wake up with my eyes full of eye boogers and irritation. Probably one of the best lash studios I've been to (and I've lived around socal). This review is intended for their San Bruno studio. This lash studio really tailors your lash extensions to you. During my first visit, Veronica (lady who ah es all the appointments) really made sure that I went with a style that would work for me. She brought out lash extensions on sticks that you can put over your eyes, so that you can see how a certain look will look on you. This takes away the un wanted surprises of going with a style that wasn't in your favor. She went over the different styles, curls, lengths, and thicknesses and then made her recommendations. Parking; parking exists all around the street, but give yourself some time to look around because it can get packed. Pricing: they are transparent with their prices on their website and require a deposit prior to each appointment. Do note is one of the more expensive studios that I've been to, so definitely shell out some money each month if you're planning on going here :). My favorite lash place finally opened another location and it's closer to me! I've been getting my lashes done at Dolly Effect for almost 2 or maybe 3 years now?? I was so happy when they opened a location in San Bruno, slightly closer to me than the Colma one. They are located in the tiny plaza/area where Aqua Club is. The store is almost all the way to the back on the right but there is a sign right outside. I would say parking is a bit hard, especially on weekends, when it's busy out. But there are plenty of street parking and lots around this area. I highly recommend giving lash extensions a try because they have changed my life for the better! I get ready with makeup on in probably 30 minutes or less now. They give really good recommendations on which lash style is suitable for your eye type and give detailed care instructions for your lashes. Personally, I like to wait until all my lashes fall off before getting them done again. But if you like getting them refilled, they offer discounts depending on how many weeks it's been.
