It is a good one with the usual departments including clothing, housewares, sporting goods, electronics, personal care, pharmacy and of course the full grocery section with produce and frozen. We were in here a couple of times to get stuff for kitting out my daughter's new apartment. We even bought too many curtain rods and had no problems returning the surplus for a complete credit on my credit card. Good shopping experience (for a Walmart) and a well stocked, organized store.

There are several boutiques in the area, but most of them are above average retail. TJ Maxx is usually great when it comes to prices. The store can be a little cluttered and disheveled at times and it is rather hard to find a staff member to help you, but overall it is a text book example a big chain department store.

That's my opinion of course. Last year, this mall lost JC Penney which has been here ever since I can remember. Back in the 90's this mall was hoping. I mean they were busy. Now it seems it is almost dead except for around Christmas. A lot of businesses have closed at this mall over the years. There is a rumor that this Belk is hurting and might leave to. If Greenville doesn't wake up and start buying from this store, they may lose it too. Anyway, I hope Belk makes it. I walked around the store and saw a few things on sale. But most things in the store are pretty high. I got some real nice bed sheets. These are some blue bed sheets and are very comfortable as I have been trying them out for a few weeks now. However, as I walked the store for about an hour, I was not approached by a store associate for help. I had to find the sheet section on my own. Their bathrooms need renovation and are way back in the back.

I'm 5'3 and the handle comes up to my chest, this wouldn't be a problem but I have a three year old and getting him in and out of the new shopping charts is a hassle every single time (even when I have someone with me). I can't reach far enough to get him in or out usually resulting in one or both shoes coming off. The leg hole for the carts are super small as well which is another reason the shoes come off. Love everything about the store so far, just the carts aren't practical for mothers shopping by themselves and as I said even with help it's hard if that person's short too.

Great workers are overworked with far greater expectations on them than other associates. Meaning if bob is expected to do 13 hrs of work on his 9 hr shift and fails to complete; he is greatly reprimanded and or coached. Meanwhile Alex, who is known to be lazy, gets to skate by with the bare minimum and no reprimand. Also the good worker has to pick up the slack where the other associate fails. There will be zero acknowledgement in these cases even when management knows. Please, look into ways to resolve these types of issues.
