Great store. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review. Then again, I am not. Unless the mall does something drastic like change, and I mean radical change, this Belk store might close. That's my opinion of course. Last year, this mall lost JC Penney which has been here ever since I can remember. Back in the 90's this mall was hoping. I mean they were busy. Now it seems it is almost dead except for around Christmas. A lot of businesses have closed at this mall over the years. There is a rumor that this Belk is hurting and might leave to. If Greenville doesn't wake up and start buying from this store, they may lose it too. Anyway, I hope Belk makes it. I walked around the store and saw a few things on sale. But most things in the store are pretty high. I got some real nice bed sheets. These are some blue bed sheets and are very comfortable as I have been trying them out for a few weeks now. However, as I walked the store for about an hour, I was not approached by a store associate for help. I had to find the sheet section on my own. Belk - Department Stores Near Me - Greenville, Mississippi

In the three months that I have been in this area, I have only been to this store twice. The first time, I came to buy some shirts and was helped by a wonderful lady. Tonight, I went back to buy some Christmas gifts. As I went thru the door, I saw a sign that read "download our app and you could get 60% off this item". So, I downloaded the Belk app. I wanted to by a high end watch and purse. The app gave me a coupon for 70% off everything. So, three times I slowly circled the watch counter each time stopping at those watches that caught my attention. All the while, I heard a lady working behind the perfume counter yucking it up with some girl friends who were in the store. Seeing no one else in sight. I went back to the purse department to look at some very high end purses. Again after two passes, nobody is around. I then saw in big letters "Customer Service" and I thought for sure there would be someone there-nothing but crickets. So, I decided to call the store on my cell phone. And as I was prompted thru the menu, I finally found handbags. I picked this selection and a lady answered the phone. I told here where I was and that I needed assistance with a purse. I told her which purse I wanted and she unlocked it a walked off to the perfume counter. Yes it was the same woman, who ignored me earlier and was yucking it up with her friends. I told her that I also wanted to look at watches. So she left this expensive purse laying on the perfume counter and commenced to go to the watch counter. She kept pushing me to the highest end watches, event though they did not have the functionality that I wanted. Finally, I found a watch which I decided to purchase along with another item. Each time she rung up one of my items, she had an excuse for why she couldn't take the coupon from the app. One by one, I got nope it won't except that one. So she either tried to cheat me out of the coupon or Belk's does the old bait & switch trick with customers. Either way it sucks! read more
