The selection is poor at this Dollar Tree. Also, not a lot of things on the shelf, they need more workers.

This is the location in Long Beach! :D Ooh Are you like me? Dollar stores are my favorite places to shop! Everything inside for a dollar but sometimes there are deals like two for $1 for certain card brands in the greeting cards section! And even then, items that come in packs provide even greater savings. Affordable is the key word here. When everything in life combined makes life so expensive, finally there can at least be some reprieve in your life, well, if you venture to come here and find what you need. It's probably not for everyone. If you're overwhelmed, hate or are allergic to messy places, don't or even hate shopping with a passion, you don't have a house or office or family or friends ;) this place will not be for you! But what does that mean for me?! LOTS more for me to shop! Hahaha! :P As for messy, this place draws a lot of different ppl and probably - I'd venture to guess - products come and go quickly so I guess that's a reason for the store to be kinda in disarray. If you have patience to find what you need, you will not only get what you need but save some hard earned money. Parking lot: I love it that they have their own triangular-shaped parking lot. It's smart and just the easiest way to park. Customer service: Inside the workers might not speak English all that well but be patient and they will help you much as they can. Products inside: Great finds for household items (screwdriver packs, zip ties, rear view mirror items for your desk, clips of different sorts, bottle brushes, plastic hangers, ziplock bags, containers and also food containers that are stable poly propylene plastic, toilet paper, tissue paper boxes, paper napkins, condiments, vinegar, household cleaners, dishwashing liquid, hand sanitizer), simple office supplies (packs of pens, pencils, art supplies; writing paper and pads of different sizes; zippered pencil case pouches), things to simplify your life, gift wrap essentials and greeting and thank you cards, snacks, decorations (artificial flowers; nice/cute glassware), and a lot more I'm sure of that I missed bc I wasn't there all that long. Today I was there for a pair of slippers to wear in the hotel room, ziplock bags and vinegar to wash and store my salads and fruits, and affordable a greeting cards, but I also found other things I needed such as a pack of plastic hangers, an over the door hanger hook, alphabet beads and teeny clothes pins for a future art project, tissue paper, paper napkins, a large poly propylene plastic container for washing veggies in, and a couple rectangular containers for holding the veggies. Later during this trip (so I won't have to tote everything around), I'm going to return to pick up some fun finds for prizes for my lions club (on Oahu in Hawaii) Tail Twister fun activities. I'm glad this place exists so that having simple fun and living a simple life can be somewhat more enjoyable and affordable. Thank you for doing what you do, Dollar Tree! I appreciate you for stocking such great finds and for always attempting to keep everything stocked as organized as you can despite all the foot traffic that comes through your store! :D read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. It is a train wreck a complete mess. They do not have anything neatly placed and you will be lucky to find what you went in for. I had a rude cashier yelling at me from across the room to put a shopping cart where she wanted it. (I had moved it to where all the other carts were) I didn't even use a shopping cart, the person before me left that one at the register and left the store. All I can say is clean the place up, train your help to value the customer and have them do their jobs to organize your store. read more

Store is horrible and so unfortunate bc it's in an excellent location with great parking. The store is always extremely messy, LAWSUIT waiting to happen! Customer service always horrible! The other day the REGISTER had a change shortage. I was supposed to receive $17.12. Cashier asked if I had 10 cent bc all she had was a quarter and some Penny's. I didn't. Cashier says "I" the customer have to take the loss?!?! Bc her register can't be short!!! Excuse me?!?! You didn't announce at the beginning of my purchase that I would have to use a card or exact change.....the customer has to take the loss as opposed to your register being short a few cents bc YOUR store doesn't have change?!?! Now this is about principle bc it is only .12, I get that, but No! Go get the manager.....manager comes talking the same bs.....I've worked in retail in my younger years and if ever something like that happened the customer would NOT be the one to take the loss!!!!!! The store/company/multimillion dollar corporation would take the loss of a few cents!! Y'all need to do better!! I canceled my order!! Give me all my money back!! I'm never returning to that raggedy ass store with incompetent management!!! Please spare yourself the frustration drive right on pass that place, it's a dollar general and another dollar tree that is always well organized less than a mile away!! A real treasure for crackheads, drunks, the homeless and who knows who else? If you are coming from Nassau County be aware that you CANNOT make a turn into Dollar Tree from the main road....what you MUST do is go up one light where is says 'No U Turn' and make a left turn into an industrial road (no arrow for this left turn but who doesn't enjoy flooring it when the light changes and crossing in front of 3 lanes of traffic coming from JFK?) and then make a U Turn and make a right back onto the main rd. At this point you question the area, is it really worth going to Dollar Tree, etc? I decided that I was far too invested to give up now. I pulled into the parking lot which is a fair size for the store but noticed immediately all the random people walking around, mostly black but a few latino as well...maybe a total of 9 people. There is no bus stop here and these people seem to want to make eye contact which thankfully I avoided. Walking into the Dollar Tree, I noticed the bottles of booze, containers of windshield wiper fluid among the other random bottles and trash littered in the front....see photo. I guess one could say - "Well they didn't put out a trash can" and I suppose they would be right. People who drink publicly will tend to throw their trash in a trash can in Universe B. I walked inside the unheated, creaky floored, damp and musty smelling store and was treated to the view of what seemed to be "One of everything" In a cart that didn't seem to be in use by a customer. I looked for a hand basket and found one with a broken handle (yes....it was getting sadder). My wife had sent me to pick up Ring Pops for my son and to see how the store was.... I browsed around the store and what I saw reminded me of that tv show HOARDERS. There was junk everywhere! Just disgusting! There was a corner of the store not accessible to customers because of the amount of unpacked boxed that filled it, the aisle with toys looked as though someone decided to kick every shelf and throw it all on the floor, there was an area that had socks and it appeared that maybe 30% of the socks were on the floor. See my photos if you think I am exaggerating. I don't believe this is 100% fault of the customers which seemed as disgusted as I was. Clearly it is a lazy staff that has cleaning problems. The few staff I dealt with seemed nice and helpful so I need to point at management. If you go onto Youtube and type "Dollar Tree Visit" you will find sad and lonely women who make videos of their trips to Dollar Tree in other states and you will see stores that are clean, organized and useful. Why can't we have nice things in NY? I should ask those random men walking around the parking lot! Dollar Tree in Rosedale is the armpit of The Dollar Tree company and needs to be shut down. I left without buying anything and will return when they open one a little closer to civilization. read more

Worst Dollar Tree EVER! I have never given any place a 1 review. Should be a 0 This place is DISGUSTING. There was trash all over and open boxes everywhere. No shopping carts available other than the 3 already being used. The place looked as if a hurricane came through it ... no exaggeration. What made me even post a review is that l told my son to pick out some snacks and he told me what he wanted and proceeded to get it off the shelf .... there were mice dropping (shit) on the shelf. In multiple areas GROSS!!! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN for health violations. DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS HERE! Completely DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED!!! I love dollar tree! I have been to so many locations but this one is one of my least favorites. Every-time I come in here there are boxes of merchandise sitting around and staff is not friendly. They have good merchandise like every other dollar tree. However, the staff needs to be more friendly and more efficient when putting away their merchandise. read more

not the best dollar tree around but is there really any dt that are the best. the plus is that there is a free parking lot , the plus is that its not crowded inside and now the rest of the story. i roamed each aisle and many where empty as boxes and boxes of stuff are lined up ready to be opened and put on shelves which seems to be the norm at almost every dollar tree .i did find a bunch of useful items including hand liquid soap, cleaning products for kitchen and bath, napkins, brillo pads, plastic containers, garbage bags, arm and hammers body wash, reynolds wrap, and a bunch of other useful things that will come in handy. waited a short time on line and grand total is 46.77 for everything . remember now that each item is now 1.25 each and the paper bags they give has no handles , so bring your own sturdy bags. over its 3 stars on my yelp meter for the dollar tree store in queens on rockaway blvd. read more

They have no functioning shopping carts. It was such an inconvenience I just left. The staff was so/so. The aisles had boxes in them and were waiting to be packed down. Do Better read more
