To whom it may concern,…read more I don't know the best way to give recognition to an employee of yours but please do because I received amazing service from Dan Bailey who works at the Vanderloop Shoes Store on Sliver Spring Drive in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He was professional, knowledgeable, personable and kind while dealing with my foot issues. I work in a factory and I am on my feet 8-10 hours 40 plus hours a week. My first pair of shoes was steel toed and I had no problems with them other than they were a heavy shoe. My next pair of foot attire I went from those steel toed shoes to boots just to change it up. That is were I had problems. I noticed I was having pain on the sides and balls of my feet and later even the bottom of my feet was burning so bad I thought it might be neuropathy, but this didn't happen when I was bare foot or when I had different shoes on vs the boots. My initial pair of shoes was from the shoe truck and the boots I actually went to the Silver Spring store. Dan took care of me when he sold me my boots which fit great initially. He informed me there would be a big difference between the feel of these boots compared to the feel of the initial shoes. A few months after using the boots I noticed that my feet hurt and I was developing calluses on the sides of my feet. I went in to see him again and received great service. He sold me a very very comfortable insole. He also said a bigger size would probably work best for you so get 12s next time. For a time the insole helped, but as the months wore on and my hours increased I just dealt with the minor foot pain. I was basically doing a 50 hour work week standing in one place for the majority of the time. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionilism when he sold me the boots and later the insole. When January arrived we could get out new shoes. I rushed to the shoe truck to get my 12 size in the same boot and I had been wearing hoping for relief. I lasted a day. I called up the Vanderloop Store and Dan answered. I remind him that we shaded the same name and that he sold me the 11 1/2 boots. He told me to come in he took care of me completely. I was worried that because I wore the boots for a day I would be stuck with them forerver, but this was not the case he made it a point to make it right for me and my feet. He gave me the royal treatment he noticed at once the callous on my feet and I told him my story and how I jumped at the chance to get the 12s for relief. He noticed at once that the 12s were way too big and agreeed that was the reason that the foot was moving too much. He apologized for his misunderstanding of how my feet were hurting and that getting the 12s was not the solution, but made it worse. As the professional he took the 12 size boots that I only wore once. He informed me that even thouh they were only worn a day that he could not resell them. He had me sit down and measured my foot and had me take off my socks, he informed me the difference between each foot. My right is longer and my left curves in. After hearing my story he advised me to pick out shoes from the Reebok section stating "Dan these will be best for you, your feet and callouses." I picked out a few and tried them on. He put them on me using a shoe horn to help ease my foot into each shoe. careful of the tender calluses. We narrowed the shoes down and once I finally decided on the shoes I liked he had me walk around a few times reminding to make sure that I was completely happy these shoes. I was very happy with them, but I was worried about losing my steel toe fron the boot. I work with wooden pallets and a few times my steel toe boots came in handy. He addressed my concern by reminding me that all the shoes at Vandlerloop were not steel toe but all certified safe toes. He shoed me the toe models and the different steel thickness between the steel and the plastic. I walked out with new shoes the were free but better yet my feet were instantly feeling better from less pressure on the callouses. I know this was long but I am very pleased with the service I received and would defiantly recommend Vanderloop Shoes and Dan Bailey to anyone. Seriously one satisfied customer!! Dan Granger

I had accompanied him and as soon as we'd walked in, we were greeted in the most pleasant and professional manner by Dan Bailey and his cohort (Ken, I think?). Dan immediately attended to their incoming customer and provided just little minute details of service that I hadn't seen since my brother and I were children. He measured each foot to ensure proper fit, informed him of each and every choice of footwear that was available, and what discounts were available as well. I'd only recently learned what a Brannock Device (for measuring US shoe sizes) was actually called and we had a rather delightful banter about the Customer Care of old vs. buying from retail stores today. My brother AND I were extremely impressed with our visit to your store. Keep doing what you're doing Dan, you are appreciated. Rob

How was I supposed to know that the pole would not support the type of flag I purchased? I emailed them and they chose not to make it right. They suggested I order a different set, which included another flag and pole. Will not be ordering from them. Gave them 2 stars because the shipping was fast and the flag is holding up well. I wanted customer service to be more helpful.

I just received their 3'x5' nylon Marine Corps Flag with canvas header, 2 brass gromets. Flag, $44.10, shipping, $4.82, and tax $3.50, total $52.42, less $2.21 Military discount. Total price, $50.21. I asked and was told this flag is the one they recommend holding up to UV degradatition. My big mistake is that I put it on my flagpole for two hours, and realized it was so thin that even a minor wind will blow the flag and wrap it around the flagpole. After two wraps and un-wrapping, I took the flag down and repackaged it. Once I opened the package and put it up, no refund This is by far the poorest quality USMC flag that I have ever purchased in twenty-three years. It is paper thin, poor color continuity, and it is nearly transparent. Don't make the same mistake I did. I learned my lesson...
