Many times I come out empty-handed. Sometimes I hit the jackpot. Once, in their tiny selection of electronics, I found a $20 cable (for my computer) for just two bucks. Compared to St Louis this store was so clean and "organized". The rows of bins have been given numbers or letters and they restock the areas while customers are shopping. Items are priced by type and tiered by pounds. When you check out they will weigh your items to record a price. All items are final sale and there aren't any dressing rooms. I was impressed with the clothing. Lots of good brands and condition. Each item was even tagged with sizing. Customers were fairly respectful to each other, moving around each other's carts and not shopping too close. You should only come when you have free time and if you enjoy digging through piles of clothes. It's fun, a family affair! We always find something that makes us happy.

At check out I was told that I would have 15%off my purchase for signing up for the store…read moremembership. When I did this the offer code did not appear in my email and the cashier refused to honor the 15% off. The cashier saw where the account was set up correctly and only said " hmm that's weird I'm only sure why it's not there" and still did not rectify the situation. When I asked if a manager could over ride the transaction and apply the discount the cashier told me no. This was poor customer service and a waste of my time. This was not a great experience.

There are price tags but with all of the talk of discounts, you ask out loud, "So how much do these shoes really cost?" And then comedian Nate Bargatze strides up to you as George Washington, just like in the now viral SNL sketch. He puts a hand on your shoulder reassuringly. He replies: "Nobody knows." So it was with that confidence that my husband and I strode to the cash register, supremely mystified if we would be asked to pay $50 or $250 for the three pairs of kids shoes and one pair of adult sneakers. (Thankfully, the bill came to closer to $100.) We checked out the new Zappos outlet on its opening weekend, when it was advertised shoppers would get an additional 30% off their purchase. And we found an outlet with a decent number of shoes for adults and kids, plus several racks of clothes as well. I was in a bit of a rush, so we didn't take too long to look, mostly zeroing in on what we were there to find. This outlet was hopping, but everything seemed well organized and clean. The only confusion came from the prices, with signs saying there were even more discounts than the 30% off. I would definitely come back here when I had more time to shop.

It's snack area is nowhere near as extensive as Sam's. It has way less restroom accommodations than Sam's. OTHO, it's not as busy as Sam's and the aisles are wider.It is brighter and bigger than Sam's. I can't fairly compare it to Costco since I have been there only twice. Neither BJ's or Sam's has adequate handicap parking though both may be meeting their legal requirement. If you buy the $15 promo membership and a BJ's is near you It's a good deal based on the gas price alone.

You always see the joke or memes about a giant empty field or some wooded areas in the middle of nowhere with the caption "would be a shame if a dollar general was out here". Well that's kinda what happened in Thai spot. Once pretty isolated portion of the road with some trees of expressway was turned to a dollar general a few years ago. The store itself has a massive parking lot and medium sized store that is a little cluttered. Service like most dollar general stores is hit or miss and so is inventory. Overall it is like any other dollar general. Serves a purpose of a bargain store and delivers on that purpose.
