As with other closeout stores, their stock is limited to what they get access to, which makes it a new experience each trip. The register aisle featured a Mars candy closeout, so I grabbed some gum and a M&Ms sharing size for the plane trip home.

I asked an associate and he assured me it was all of them, when I got to the register it rang a dollar higher not much but not the point. The cashier kindly asked for a price check and the woman who came to the register to answer us, I can only assume she was management, was very rude and dismissive about it being the other size and only one bin and not the other as she walked away. Treat your customers as if you would like them to come back there are other stores to shop.

The greeting cards were slightly discounted but could've been cheaper, got a few anyways. If you go here have a plan of what you need/want and comparable prices in mind so you don't spend forever in the store getting lots of random, unnecessary things.

They also have a location on W 38th and one on the East side but I haven't been to the Eastside location. I love their deals and while you can return defective products, you'll get in store credit and not a cash refund so that's something to keep in mind.

It you find something you like, simply pay for it online, and pick up during their business hours Thursday-Saturday. They do allow in store shopping while open as well. They receive a variety of items for your home such as furniture, decor accessories, lighting, plumbing fixtures, tile, and window treatments. Highly recommend following them on social media as well because they do live videos showcasing new items or announcing sales. I've bought a few items from them and will surely buy more in the future. The showroom was fun to browse and check out was pretty easy. Each item has a QR code that you scan and purchase online. You can also shop from home and pick up at the store. My cell service wasn't great in the store, but they do have wifi, so if you experience a dead zone, ask for the password. There are bins in a separate area next door - I didn't realize this, so I'll have to go back and look through those. I believe those are mostly clothing items. This is a great spot to treasure hunt. I ended up with a large clock to hang in my entryway and it was $30. Originally over $80, so a great deal.

Basically, this is the place all non-purchased items from Target go for a last ditch rescue. My favorite thing here are the comforters, which you can get for $22 or less! Falling under the umbrella of Good News Mission, a near-eastside ministry that started off as what one some would call a "homeless shelter" but has grown to include a youth center, supports for families, and even a neighborhood health clinic with a focus on the near-eastside. Good News Ministries Thrift Shop offers used or new clothing, furniture, appliances, household items, and much more. The thrift shop is run by residents from the men's shelter and offers them work experience and direct customer interaction. I drive by the thrift shop just about every single day on the way to work and had long been curious, however, I never stopped in until recently to finally check it out. Those who were working in the story were friendly and helpful. Rest assured that this is not a Goodwill store - it's smaller, less organized, and definitely more crowded and a bit run down. However, I found it to be clean and actually was surprised how much they actually had. 100% of the proceeds from the thrift shop help to support the various efforts of Good News Ministries. It's worth noting that this very much a ministry as is everything with Good News. There's a strong foundation of faith here, specifically Christian, and it radiates throughout their offerings. In terms of accessibility, I'd say the thrift shop offers casual accessibility. Yes, you can get in it and the actual environment typically will depend on what they have at the time. I generally had not much difficulty, but it's a bit hit-and-miss. Because it's an old Village Pantry, the building itself was generally designed with accessibility in mind. I've never seen an actual crowd here. The small parking lot has informal options for accessibility like aisle ends, etc. The thrift shop is catty-corner to the Good News 10-unit family shelter and right by the East Washington Branch Library. Would I return? Definitely. Prices are good, options are plentiful, customer service is casual but helpful, and Good News has been around since the 1950s and has a long history of helping those with housing instability. Since this is only their 2nd review, I think it's safe to say this highly visible but often unnoticed thrift shop is definitely an under-appreciated gem here in Indy and a terrific way of supporting Good News Mission. You never know what you're going to find and…read moreon this day I was looking for holiday dresses and lucky for me they had all of the sparkly holiday dresses separated out on a separate rack. I think I ended up picking out six that I liked and they have a dressing room there so I tried them on and ended up purchasing two of them. The other thing I really like in here is their costume jewelry selection it is really fun! I will continue to stop in here as long as they are open. The value is good although higher priced than Goodwill but the quality is typically better and there are a whole lot of vintage items. As usual they helped me out with my zippers as I tried on the dresses they are always very accommodating in the shop.
