I went back again this morning and store is still closed with no sign of explaination. Does Dollar General want to reimburse me for my gas and time? I'm very disappointed in Dollar General at this time. Inrespect to your customers notification should have been placed and voice mail acknowledge the problem. Five Below is also has a good variety of affordable greeting cards and gift bags. In addition to the favors for a kids party, they also have lots of toys that will make it easy on Santa's Christmas budget. They also have T-Shirts, travel sized toiletries, cleaning supplies, books, pet supplies and exercise accessories. Honestly, it's a store that has a lot of different things, at cheap prices. They have lots of items for electronics and iPhone gadgets, but those items I'd be a little scared of. If you are a big buy USA shopper, this may not be the store for you. Almost everything in the store is made in China. There are no cashiers, you check yourself out and you get no employee discount.

I grew up on a farm in the area, but lived in different cities for 40 years before moving back. I'm guessing my city life, is dominating my country roots and my appreciation for this store. The one area that I absolutely do appreciate, is the dog toys. There are plenty of plush toys and an amazing variety of Kong Toys. Another area that I enjoy shopping, is the garden department. In the men's department, I only like their selection of blue jeans, because I can spend my life forever in blue jean. I think what surprises me most about this store is the pricing, it is higher than I would expect a farm store. Especially in the mens department, I can go to Orvis or a designer store at the outlet mall and find shirts and slacks at a better price. With the way the economy is going, we all have to be a smarter shopper. I'll continue to shop here, in hopes of finding a bargain in the future.

First off, if you haven't been here before, let me tell you it is similar to Aldi's. You pay 25¢ to use one of their shopping carts and once you plug it back in to the corral, you magically get your quarter back. You also need to bring your own re-usable bags to pack up your savings. My first visit was a quick stroll up and down the aisles. The store was super clean and well organized. I was surprised how wide the aisles were. was impressed with the canned goods and also the K-Cup offerings. To my delight, they had my favorite fruit, Raspberries on sale. I grabbed two pints for $5. They even had fresh cut flowers for $5. The cashier was friendly and professional. After ringing me out, he gave me a coupon for $5 off my next purchase of $50. That's a 10% savings. I think I can do that on my next visit, because my pantry is getting real low and it is time to stock-up.

I didn't look at every single shelf tag but where I DID look, there were 37 items missing a price tag, or with a shipping tearstrip only, with no price. 37! Sad.

I found a good deal on a package of three bundled together and the little people loved them. Store is clean and well organized for a super discount store. The staff does a great job, too.
