Like all other chain stores, this review is pretty much a copy of the other ones for dollar tree. These types of stores all follow the same business model from store to store. Since my last review they went from 1.00 per item to 1.25. In my opinion, still a bargain. Biggest change in this store is the size. This location is huge. Most of my readers know that I am a HUGE fan of the Dollar Tree stores and this location is no exception. This store is in a pretty big shopping center with a very large shared parking lot. There is a BUrlington Coat Factory along with a Home Floor and around the corner is Pizza Supreme. The store is big and fortunately these stores are all set up the same way so finding items from store to store is very easy. What ever you need for household items and food, and cleaning supplies, etc, etc. can be found here. I don't know how they do it but dollar tree is my goto for cards, balloons, glassware and more. They have a great staffwho are always willing to help you out but... that staff is limited and if they're not helping you, they're probably working at the cash register or unpacking new merchandise. They could definitely use a few more cashiers to move the line a bit more quickly but that could have a negative impact to the pricing structure so I never go here if I'm in a big rush. It just never fails, these stores are rarely clean and organized. I stopped in to pick up some artificial flowers, and finding them a trek. There was small bubbles of them throughout out the store, almost like someone picked them up and left them in a different area because they decided they didn't want them. We eventually located them. Asides from the everyday chaos, the holiday items added on-top of that. There are some items worth stopping in for, but with the mess, noise, chaos and overwhelming amount of people at once it's not totally worth your time. read more

Ordered and paid for tissues for delivery at this store and when we came to pick up they said they didn't have it. These items were shipped to store already paid and should have been held for pickup and not resold. I spoke to Mgr and was told they didn't not have the items - lost, not received, can't find and pretty much I am SOL and have to get the refund online. This is the only store who has not honored an online order in the 3 years I have ordered online plus the place is a mess. read more

truthfully walked in; was completely fine until had a miserable customer behind us complaining about how long it was taking. I was trying to ignore as-well as sympathize because it was taking a while because the cashiers were having their own conversation. When we were about to pay the lady behind us again began to sigh loud and vocally shout into the air that we were taking so long. When the cashier lady looked at her and said in front of me and my partner "I had to blow up there balloons and practically signaled it was our fault. Creating an awkward and embarrassing situation between us and the impatient lady behind us. I understand working and having a conversation with your peers which I didn't have a problem with until the vocally bothered women behind us was looking for a problem and the cashier blamed us when it was her taking her time. read more

I feel like every Dollar Tree has its strong area. This location is notorious for their dish ware and hair accessories. Not snacks, stationary or home decor. They are highly understaffed so the lines are always super long ! They never seem to have anyone reface the aisles and it can get very messy! I try to check back a few times a month to see what surprises may arrive. Their strong areas again are kitchen ware and hair accessories. Snack aisles are lacking and there are never enough refrigerated beverages. Never any water ! I would advise many to visit the Garden City Glen Cove Rd location. read more

One of the last true dollar stores. Never need a price check here! They have tons of stuff including a respectable amount of food products. This is the absolute place to go for gift wrapping, cards and especially holiday decorations! Tons to choose from but come early as it goes fast. There is no minimum purchase for cards. This is a big store and you will find cosmetics, medicine, cleaning products, home decor, paper goods, tableware, kitchen gadgets, toys, baby items, pet items, candles, hardware, etc. They constantly have new merchandise coming in. Sometimes this may result in a temporary appearance of disarray but overall this is a neat and well organized store. Plenty of parking in the huge lot shared with a number of other businesses. Lines can get long depending on the day and time but it's bearable. The cashiers have always seemed nice and relatively cheerful considering they probably don't get paid a whole lot and they spend hours on their feet. One time we called ahead to see if they still had outdoor solar lights and the employee got a manager on the line who was able to answer my question down to where to find them and about how many were left. I can't think of any reason to subtract a star. If you long for a good dollar store, this is it. read more

Not much of a selection and very bare shelves. I stood on-line for 20 minutes to pick up a few small things. I decided to put everything down and walk out. There was one cashier opened with 3 employees standing around in the front talking. The line was going to the back of the store and no one was helping the poor cashier who was ringing everyone up. On top of that there was another employee who was trying to put out items by themselves. I don't know who the manager was but they were doing a poor job at delegating tasks to their employees. read more

I'm not really a Dollar Tree person but it was the nearest to the hotel where I was staying at, I'm really a Family Dollar store person. but I came here back in 2016 or 2017 in December, when I stood at the La Quinta inn & suites -Hotel down the block . its a pretty cool store. there have snacks and microwave dinners . and plus there the Roosevelt Field shopping mall across on the other side of this plaza mini-mall and there a Bj's wholesale store-warehouse is across the street as well. if I'm ever in Garden city, NY area (Long Island) I wouldn't mind shopping here for some snacks !!!! I love their microwave dinners I bought some to warm up in my hotel room. !!!! very convenient by the mta transportation: Rail Road: Long Island Rail Road: Mineola or Hempstead, Train Station (closest station, it's a good pretty distance) you can catch a cab or other transport to get here !!!! read more

This location is very organized. The staff here is great, they always on the floor restocking and cleaning. What I notice is that no matter what time of day I go there is always one register open, the line does go fast and eventually they open another line. Messiest Dollar Tree I have ever been to. I visited near closing time yesterday and even then, there were barely any customers. Boxes were laid all stacked up against the windows, scattered and piled up all over every aisle and almost impossible to walk around without tripping over one. Where is the stockroom? Shouldn't these boxes be left in there till someone can replenish it? Oh, and on top of that, lots of fixtures were empty but the product was inside the boxes. How do you expect customers to shop and for the store to make money if nothing is left out? I was looking for Halloween, fall and Christmas items and tons of items were missing or broken. If this is how much management cares about the store than it might as well be closed till the store is fully stocked. Don't get me started on customer service. Terrible in every way. Cashier took about 1-2 minutes before serving us with no one in the store or on the cashier line. No greeting like a simple "hi, how's it going" until muxh later on to break the awkward silence. While he rang us up, he literally just dumped our things into a bag and saw it was crazy looking but didn't care to fix it nor gave a double bag seeing how much stuff was in those bags. The only redeeming quality for this Dollar Tree is that they have a decent selection of stuff. Other than that, nada. The place is super messy & disorganized. The staff is clueless and not very helpful. Pray that you don't get stuck in line behind somebody who wants a balloon, because they never open another register. There's been times where I've walked in and turned back around and walked out right away because the line was all the way to the back of the store. This isnt my first visit. However I was trying to hold out and not rate this location poorly., but its been months and its still not properly ordered. Want to give them 5 Stars., unfortunately I am unable. Sine Dollar Tree moved into its new spot. Just three stores from prior location. Has plummeted and horrible. Tired taking a few pictures to show You the decor of this new spot. Rudely told that I couldn't do that. Even after I explained my Yelp reason. That was a major flag that I simply didn't grasp at that moment. During my monthly errands., this is one of my stores. Since its opening the store still look as if it's still adjusting to its New space. Theirs over 25+ boxes greeting you when the doors opened. Onced you past that. You have to play dodge ball with the boxes just to get passed their entryway. Which is ridiculous. Since its opening their cashier aren't Family-friendly nor are there enough cashier to handle the customers shopping in Dollar Tree. Their inventory appearance shows tremendous lacking because there shelves were not fully stocked. They have boxes everywhere including their aisle. Blocking everything. Safety hazard. Since its opening they haven't stocked ANY Twizzlers, and that simply unacceptable in my book. read more

She actually told me she didn't have a name and gave me the silent treatment while on line till she proceeded to argue with me. Only found out her name because she rung me up. The workers are so rude. I was there today and the woman in front of me wanted to take something off her order and the cashier actually had the balls to tell her she couldn't. He would need to start her entire order again. What?! What a load of garbage. Her child was crying so she didn't argue with him about it. I would have flipped.
